* so here it is. Way later than expected, the end of Charlie and Ender's story. Will probably follow up with an epilogue and WHO KNOWS, maybe we will see the couple in a short story later or they may show up in another story! I hope you all enjoyed this - it was my first one (minus all the stuff I used to write when I was younger) and I enjoyed writing it! Thanks everyone for reading - go check out my others!!

Charlotte's POV

"Do you want to hold him?" I asked Ender, looking down at our sweet baby boy who was sound asleep after I had tried to let him breastfeed. He was just an hour old so I knew it was more instinct or reflex for him and not that he has really gotten a lot, but the hospital where we delivered was very proactive in breastfeeding, so we gave it a try. They actually had a policy that as long as the baby was okay at delivery, the baby was put immediately on mom's chest for skin to skin time and there were no visitors allowed for the first hour while mom, dad and baby bonded.

We had turned to lights down low, played some soft music, and loved on our baby for the last hour and it was the most amazing thing. Ender had been taking pictures, dropping a kiss to my forehead and then to our baby's head every once in awhile.

"I want to hold him but I can't stop staring at how beautiful you look holding him." Ender ran his hand down his back before lifting him off of my chest. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, baby. Of course I'm sure. You need to bond with him just as much as I do." I helped Ender swaddle him and watched as he sat in the rocking chair beside my bed and began to gently rock, singing a song in Spanish that I clearly didn't know. I had been trying to learn as much Spanish as I could, wanting our children to grow up being able to speak English and Spanish fluently.

"Baby, what are you singing?" I tried to lean up so that I could hear the words he was singing, but he motioned for me to lean back in bed as he stood up and climbed onto the bed beside me, putting one arm around me while his other cradled our little love.

"Duérmete mi niño, duérmete mi amor
duérmete pedazo de mi corazón.
Este niño mío que nació de noche
quiere que lo lleve a pasear en coche.
Este niño mío que nació de día
quiere que lo lleve a la dulcería.
Duérmete mi niño, duérmete mi amor
duérmete pedazo de mi corazón."

"My mom used to sing that us when we were little. I'm sure you have little songs your mom sang to you too?"

"Yes, she had a song she would sing as she put as to bed and a song she would sing to wake us up." I thought back to the tradition and couldn't help but smile. Ender and I now would have the chance to give our children memories like that.

"You know, I thought you hated me?" I looked up to Ender who could not take his eyes off our little bundle. "When we met."

"I never hated you. You scared me." He admitted. "Because I thought I would be single for a long time, like maybe until I was done with baseball. But when I saw you, I just knew you were going to mess that up."

"'Mess that up?" I laughed, "Well, I sure am sorry buddy."

"I wouldn't change anything," Ender admitted, propping his feet up so that he could recline. "Right, little Samuel? Now go to sleep, Mama. Daddy has this guy for a little while and you deserve some rest."

"Good Heavens, Ender," Ozzie peered over Ender's shoulder as I watched from nearby. "You two somehow managed to make a baby that looks just like you, yet he is actually cute."

"Shut up, bro," Ender turned away, bring Samuel up to his shoulder and whispering in his ear. "Don't listen to him, Samuelito. He doesn't know what he is talking about. Your dad is the best looking on the team."
