Shirou Emiya, Counter Guardian of another world, is summoned into the Bleach universe. With his new powers, he watches over the battles between the Soul Society and the monstrous Hollows.
It has been weeks since Shirou had introduced Rukia to Urahara. He explained to her about their situation and that Urahara would be willingly provide anything Rukia could need. He also revealed himself to be a good friend of the Kurosaki family. He said that he was an old friend with Ichigo's father, Isshin, and that he had grown greatly interested when he discovered Ichigo's ability to see ghosts.
After a few weeks of watching Ichigo fighting, a Quincy, a highly powerful human, called Uryu. Upon their meeting, Uryu sparked a rivalry between them. Currently, they were in the middle of a contest. Uryu had used some special Quincy device to attract hollows and they were currently competing to kill off all of the hollows. They were doing well until a Gillian, a more powerful Hollow, appeared. Ichigo was only able to wound it before it retreated. However, before it could disappeared, Shirou made his move.
"Hi, Ichigo!" Shirou said, jumping on the boy's head.
"Crap!" Ichigo yelled, as Shirou jumped off and Shirou soared into the sky. He headed straight towards the giant Hollow.
"Your not getting away from me," Shirou smiled. He quickly summoned magical chains, which wrapped around the Hollow. Shirou then summoned his Zanpakuto. It was a simple blade, one you wouldn't look at twice. (To see the sealed form, look at the blade in the picture below.)

"Trace to the origin, Mugen no Kensei," Shirou chanted, the sword giving off an aquamarine light. (I changed the appearance to my liking.)
Shirou smiled. "Awaken, Benihime," he said. "Nake, Benihime." And with that, Shirou shot off a crimson blast which destroyed the giant Hollow. Shirou fell to the ground, his sword returning to normal.
"So," Shirou smiled, turning to Ichigo. "I'm guessing you have some questions."
"That's an understatement!" Ichigo yelled. "Since when are you a Soul Reaper? And why haven't you told me?"
"Oh, I've been a Soul Reaper for a while," Shirou said. "And why I've never told you, um, well, it's never come up in conversation."
"Shirou," Ichigo muttered, his left eye twitching. "That's the stupidest excuse I've ever heard."
"Well it's the only one your getting, so deal with it," Shirou replied. He then turned towards the Urahara shop workers. "Oi, Kisuke! I'll see you at the shop. I need to explain things to this idiot."
Kisuke nodded in understanding.
"You are you calling an idiot?" Ichigo demanded.
"You," Shirou said, smashing his head with a traced Tora-Shinai.
