"Oh! we have to go to the observatory late at night some time!" I said as we walked past the observatory.
"Okay. Let me guess beautiful stars?" Rollan asked. I nodded.
"Yep. the city tones down their lights, for the observatory, so light pollution isn't really a problem. And it's a small little city, so the stars shine really bright!" I said excitedly. Rollan raised an eyebrow.
"Wait! Light has pollution?!" He asked.
Wow, and he's smart. I thought sarcastically. I flicked his head.
"Ow!" He groaned.
"No, dummy. Have you ever noticed that late at night in cities, or where there's lots of light, you can hardly see the stars?" I asked. He nodded. "And have you noticed that in the day time we can't see the stars?" I asked, hoping to ring a bell in that empty head of his. He nodded. I sighed. "That's because of the light. It makes it less visible because the light is too bright to see the shine." I said.
"Oh, that makes more sense. You seem to know a lot about stars." He said. I shrugged.
"Not really." I said.
"So, let's go to Darla's Creamery, or whatever it's called." He said.
"Daisy's Creamery." I corrected, leading him to the amazing restaurant.
"So, if it's a creamery, then do they just have ice cream?" Rollan questioned as we walked.
"No, they have burgers, sandwiches, fries, chicken nuggets, and so on." I told him. He nodded. There was an awkward silence, then I finally, finally, remembered that Scarlett and Max were going to be meeting us at Daisy's. I told Rollan so.
"I'm guessing that you and Scarlett are closer than with Sam and Maggie?"
"Yeah, we've been friends with each other the longest. But we're still extremely close to Maggie and Sam." I replied, smiling to myself.
"Then what do you think of her boyfriend?" I frowned.
"To be honest, I'm never sure of any of the guys she dates. She doesn't have the best record of guys she's dated." I informed."I... I don't think much about dating myself anymore though." I said. Rollan looked at me confused for a moment. I shook my head. "Sorry, never mind."
And there it was, Daisy's Creamery. I pointed it out to Rollan. "Wait, that's Daisy's Creamery? It looks like one of those school hangouts in the movies." Rollan said. I snorted.
"Well, it's definitely not a school hangout, but it's hangout with my friends for sure. We come here frequently, so it's a familiar area." I took him into the rustic building, with a rustic sign with bright words saying "Daisy's Creamery."
We walked in and saw Scarlett and Max. "Finally! The slow pokes arrive!" Scarlett exclaimed. She skipped to us, with Max, tailing her. "Yay! You haven't done anything like this since you..." She trailed off realizing what she was saying. "Anyway, let's get something to eat, I'm starving!" She said obviously trying to change the subject.
"Alright tell me what's good here!" Rollan said.
"Me too!" Max said, stepping next to Scarlett.
"Well, the strawberry shakes are glorious! I love their Bacon grilled cheese sandwich, it's one of my favorite things here, and their fries are so good!" I told them, pointing to the different items. "
