Ezra came to. He looked around and saw his hands were chained to a desk which was inside of one of the Triskellion's interrogation rooms. He recognized the room from the blood stain that was on the wall. It was the room where he killed his first Inhuman: Garazeb Orrelios (And the "WHAT?" comments start rolling...). The door opened and the person who walked in was none other than his previous mentor, Maul. He sat in the chair across from him and removed his restraints.

"My apprentice," he said calmly, "what would make you want to turn on this organization which has been your entire life? Why would you fight with the enemy?"

"YOU BRAINWASHED ME!" Ezra shouted, "YOU DECIEVED ME INTO KILLING INNOCENTS! YOU HAD MY LAST MISSION BE TO KILL MY FIANCE!!!"

"So you do remember," he whispered to himself, "well, we can't have that."

He extended his hand, but before he could reach into Ezra's mind, Ezra had a retort at the ready.

"So," he began, "this is how weak you are? Using the powers of a race that, in spite of you being one, you hate?"

At that, Maul lost it. He lunged at Ezra and began to pummel him with a fury of blows. It was a solid thirty-five seconds before Hydra agents finally pulled him off of Ezra. The room was empty, save for Ezra, who crawled to the wall to sit up. He couldn't see his reflection, but he could assess his injuries from where the pain came from. Broken nose, black eye, split lip, and impact bleeding on the cheeks. He could hear moaning coming from the other room through the vents.

"Sabine?" he asked.

"Ezra?" she asked.

"What'd they do to you?"

"Fractured jaw, black eye, and impact bleeding. You?"

"Broken nose, black eye, split lip, and impact bleeding."

Silence filled the room as they both awaited their brainwashing. Many minutes passed before Ezra's door opened. Inside walked Grant Ward.

"Here to take my memories away again?" he asked.

Ward squatted down next to him and whispered into his ear, "I'm getting you and Sabine out of here."

Ezra felt a pinch in his neck that almost made Ezra cry out in pain.

"What did you do?" he asked

"Sedative. You will be out for a few hours."

Ezra passed out. Grant Ward laid a body bag out and laid Ezra inside. He zipped it up and placed him outside. He walked into the next room and saw that Sabine was already passed out. He carefully placed her inside of another bag and zipped it up. He placed her next to Ezra. He went into the medical wing and saw the Madame's boyfriend.

"Agent Ward," asked the Doctor, "What do you need?"

"A pair of gurneys." He said, "The participants succumbed to their injuries. Sadly, we won't get two new agents"

"You know where they are."

"Thank you, Fitz."

He gathered the gurneys and took the body bags to his SUV. Several hours later, Ezra opened his eyes and saw he was in a hospital bed. He looked to his left and saw Sabine in another one. The doctor on station saw that Ezra was awake.

"Good morning," he said to Ezra.

"Is she alright?" Ezra asked.

"This may be hard for you to hear, but... she's in a coma. Her injuries were far worse than she thought. There is a chance that she suffered brain damage. This night may be her last."

Does it seem like I'm just using cop-outs to keep this book going? I honestly want to know.

Either way, I' pretty sure this won't continue for much longer. Next part will be out soon.
