OK.

so eager to grow up
we drink
we party
we smoke
it doesn't matter what
some of them
are forced to grow up
in their home life they were not allowed to be a child
take care of the people around you
is not something they were told
but something that was needed
the rest so eager
to no longer be that kid
the rules that were there to keep you safe no long have meaning
we no longer heed the warnings our elders tell us
for they are not what the masses tell us
look at me we say
LOOK AT ME
we shout this is what it is about
but do not look too long
we snap
I am not to be oogled
inhale
puff puff
we smoke
we've got issues
the masses do not know
metal illnesses
that destroy us
it is OK.
I am getting help
we say
in actuality they drug us
keep them quiet
the kids with ADHD keep them silent
the kids with autism stick them together
the kids with mental illnesss hide them away
the masses are helping us they say
separate them
they will not grow together
and yet here we are
so eager to grow up
we drink
we party
we smoke
and that is OK
but what becomes an issue
is when we use the flashy flashy
to hide the pain behind out classy eyes
we can not grow up blind
we will destroy ourselves
and in toxic dirt
nothing new can grow from the old
