I'm here!
After dropping my bags in my dorm room I took a walk around the campus. The buildings are so old and beautiful, like something from another world. But then I haven't seen that much of this planet.
The furthest I've ever been from the family farm was on a vacation to The Magic Kingdom in Orlando when I was twelve. That's probably what gave me the acting bug in the first place. So many colors and costumes, music and dancing and comedy! Like Ariel, I wanted to be part of that world.
And now I'm going to be!
Guilty conscience time. My parents think I'm here to get a business degree so I can go back home and run the farm. I didn't have the heart to tell them the truth. Yes, I used my good grades to earn multiple business scholarships and my major will most likely say "Business Management", but I am here to learn about SHOW BUSINESS.
I intend to study everything I can about the industry so I can make my own films and star in them. It may be just a pipe dream, but that's what Hollywood is all about. Dreams.
