Jungkook
Jungkook had been tossing and turning all night long as he worried about how his date with Taehyung was gonna be. By the time he had fallen asleep it was 4am. "Jungkook wake up. Wake up!" said a loud voice, his body was shaken by the owner of the voice. "Ugh just let me sleep." Jungkook whined, turning his body over so his cheek was on the pillow. "Fine. No need to go on your date with Tae then!" the voice said again as he finally gave up. "Hmm... Tae... Wait. What?!" the brunette finally opened his eyes and sprung off his bed, running to the bathroom. His roommate scoffed, "Kids these days..." After 10 minutes, Jungkook was out of the bathroom dressed in a plain white t-shirt with a red flannel over it, black pants, a red beanie on his head and his favorite pair of Timberlands. He didn't really have time to style his hair so he thought of the fastest way to deal with it. As he did a quick check of how he looked, he asked his roommate who was on his phone, "Yoongi hyung, why didn't you wake me up?" "W-what? I tried waking you up for 15 minutes!" the older defended himself, not that Jungkook was paying attention anyway. "Aight, bye hyung!" the younger said quickly as he rushed out of the room. 'I hope he's still there.'
Jungkook was worried that Taehyung had left, thinking he had stood him up. Much to his expectation, Taehyung was sitting on the bench with his eyes on his phone. Grinning cheekily, Jungkook quietly went behind the blond and covered his eyes with his hands. "Guess who?" "Yah!" Taehyung stood up quickly and turned his body towards Jungkook, hands on his hips, "I thought you stood me up!" A pout was now seen on the older's face and Jungkook couldn't help but chuckle at how adorable he looked. The younger made his way to Taehyung and took the boy's hands in his, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I just couldn't sleep last night so I woke up a little later than expected. I'm sorry, okay? I promise I won't do it again." By now, Jungkook had put on his most charming bunny smile as he inched closer to Taehyung. He could see the boy's cheeks turning pink, "O-okay. You promise, alright?" This made Jungkook smile even wider as he admired the older's change in expression. "I promise." he said softly but surely.
Soon they were at a pizza parlor as both boys munched on their cheese pizza. If anyone were to see them right now, they would've thought that that was their first meal in days. You must be wondering why they're eating pizza when they were supposed to go for ice cream. Well, after a heated debate, Jungkook finally gave in to the Taehyung's proposal to have something heavy to eat first before going for ice cream also seeing as both of them hadn't had breakfast yet. Jungkook didn't want to at first because he didn't want the older to have to pay for their meal and ice cream afterwards. "Who says I'm gonna be paying for our meal?" was all that Taehyung had said for the brunette to finally grasp the idea of what he had meant. Jungkook would pay for breakfast, or brunch as Taehyung had corrected seeing as it was nearly noon, for making Taehyung wait for him earlier and Taehyung will pay for ice cream for almost causing Jungkook to get a nose job. Now, they were already on their last slice of pizza. "And you said there was no need for food." Taehyung said as he ate his pizza. "Yeah yeah." Jungkook waved the other off.
"So...how come you couldn't sleep last night? Thinking about me, were you?" Taehyung finally asked, wiggling his eyebrows at the younger as a cheeky grin was seen on his face. 'You could say that...' Jungkook thought to himself as he rubbed his nape. Looking back at the blond boy, he decided to play a trick on him. Taehyung wasn't looking at him so he moved to the chair next to Taehyung's, getting closer to boy's ear as he whispered, "I was actually... Thinking about you." As he said the last word, his lips were touching Taehyung's ear slightly. He could see the older shiver as he did so. Jungkook smirked successfully before leaning back on the chair. "I was a little afraid about how this day would turn out. But so far, it's going better than I had expected." Jungkook grinned at the older who was now facing him. Taehyung pouted and punched Jungkook's arm. "Yah! You didn't have to do that..." his voice slowly trailing off. "I know. I just wanted to tease you, Taetae~" "T-taetae?" Taehyung looked at him, surprised at the nickname Jungkook had called him. "Yeah. Taetae." Jungkook nodded confidently. Taehyung couldn't help but giggle at Jungkook's action. "Alright then, Kookie~" As he heard the nickname, Jungkook automatically blushed. 'Stop it, Jungkook. It's just a nickname... A nickname he had made for you...' "Y-yeah..." the brunette stuttered.
After leaving the pizza parlor, the boys went off to get ice cream. They spoke of many things as they ate their ice cream whilst sitting on a park bench. Sharing jokes and past experiences, not the dark ones though. Jungkook felt happy. Happier than he's felt in a while. He loved the way Taehyung smiled. His laugh. Damn, Jungkook never wanted him to stop laughing but of course he'd have to or else people were going to think he was crazy. Jungkook broke out into a dreamy smile as he looked down at his and Taehyung's feet as they were walking. "Hello? Earth to Jungkook? You there, space commander?" "H-huh? What?" Jungkook finally looked up at Taehyung. The older was pouting as he brought himself to a halt, "You weren't listening." Jungkook, who had stopped his tracks as well, got closer to Taehyung and wrapped an arm around his waist, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." "You always say that..." now the older was looking down, fiddling on the hem of his shirt. "Hmm. Well if it makes you feel any better... I was thinking about you." Jungkook said softly, pulling the older closer to him. Taehyung looked up at Jungkook and the blush was evident on his cheeks. 'I love it when he blushes...' Jungkook thought with a smile. "O-okay." The other finally sounded, hitting Jungkook's chest as he pushes him, walking away in the process. A soft chuckle left the brunette's lips, "Cutie..." He finally caught up to Taehyung as they walked to the closest movie theater.
After the movie had ended, Taehyung had rushed to the restroom because he had been holding it in for too long. Jungkook warned him about drinking too much during the movie but the older had waved him off, saying that he would be fine. He didn't want to go during the movie because he didn't want to miss a single scene from the movie they were watching which was Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. They were both very eager to watch it ever since it first came out. 'Told you...' Jungkook thought as he waited for Taehyung with his back against a wall next to the restroom's entrance. The boy had his eyes on his phone and he didn't notice someone had approached him. "Um, Jungkook?" When he looked up at the person who had called out his name, he frowned. "Hoseok." he said shortly. When the other didn't say anything, Jungkook was about to walk off but was stopped when a hand was placed on his shoulder. "Jungkook wait... I need to talk to you..." "How 'bout no? I don't want to talk to you." the younger spat in a venomous tone. Right then, Taehyung had emerged from the restroom and before he could say anything, Jungkook grabbed hold of his hand and dragged the blond along with him as they left the movie theater. After about 10 minutes of walking, they finally stopped at the same park they had sat at when they had their ice cream. Taehyung tried asking him what was bothering him. It was a good thing Taehyung didn't see Hoseok.
"Kookie, what's wrong?" The worry in Taehyung's voice was evident but Jungkook wouldn't budge as he ignored the question. Taehyung felt terrible for whatever it was and sighed before moving closer to the younger. The older had wrapped his arms around Jungkook's waist and snuggled up to the boy, nuzzling his face into Jungkook's neck once he was comfortable. "Kookie..." Finally giving in, Jungkook wrapped his arms around Taehyung's frame. "I'm sorry..." he mumbled. Taehyung could only smile and nod before assuring him that it was fine. "It's just that... I saw someone I didn't want to... or more like don't ever want to see again." Taehyung hummed as a response as he understood what Jungkook meant. The boys stayed cuddled up together on the bench for a while before walking back to their campus, hand in hand. Jungkook looked over at the boy walking next to him with much admiration.
