"Holy fudge. Camila?" I said as I finally got over my initial shock of seeing the young brunette. She smiled in amusement at me.

"Long time no see, huh?" Camila questioned slightly as she laughed lowly.

"So you two know each other?" Mr. Cowell spoke up from his place behind his desk, causing me to nod slowly in response to his question as my eyes remained on Camila.

"I met her at a coffee shop, she was as shy then as she is right now. And it's still all kinds of cute," Camila chuckled. I felt my cheeks heat up as I looked down at my shoes.

"Ah well since you already seem to be acquainted then I suppose we can skip introductions and I can dive right on into why you are here Normani," Mr. Cowell said, making me lift my gaze as I raised my eyebrows in question at what he meant by that.

Wasn't I just supposed to show Camila around?

"Have a seat, Normani and I can explain everything as quickly as possible so that you girls do not miss first period," Mr. Cowell said. I nodded my head once as I quickly made my way to the chair between the seat Camila had previously occupied and the girl I quickly came to recognize as Ally, the one who got Camila from the shop.

Camila sat down as well, keeping her eyes forward as she usually does, looking past Mr. Cowell, a slight smile ever present on her face.

"This is Camila's cousin, Allyson. This is Camila's first time in a public school so she will need assistance seeing how things run around here," Camila snorted and Ally reached over me to pinch her thigh, causing Camila to smile but she didn't say anything after that. Mr. Cowell continued on as if he didn't see anything,"Anyways, Camila is taking most of your classes except for her art class. So I request that you show her around to all of her classes so that she get used to the setting. I'd like for you to stick by her side as well especially do to her condition."

"Uh, excuse me, but what do you mean her condition?" I questioned as I looked at Mr. Cowell in confusion. He seemed taken aback by my question and he looked at me as if I were crazy, as if I should know what he meant. But I really didn't.

"Well,-"

"I'm blind," Camila spoke up, still staring straight ahead. Her smile dropped slightly and she held firmly onto her cane.

"Oh." I said.

"Yeah." Camila said.

"Well damn. Am I stupid or what?" I giggled softly as I glanced over at Camila,"I never would have guessed honestly. Why didn't you tell me?"

"You treated me normally," Camila said with a casual shrug,"I liked it."

"Normal's overrated," I replied as I kept my eyes on Camila, flashing a smile. Camila cracked a smile as well as she stared straight ahead.

"So. Seeing as your both well acquainted I trust you will be able to show Karla,-"

"Camila," Camila interjected quickly but Mr. Cowell continued on as if she didn't say anything.

"Around. You two are dismissed. I'm sure you'll make it to your first period in record time. Have a good first day, Karla."

"Thanks," Camila said shortly as she stood up, I quickly stood as well. Camila extender her walking stick, moving it around in front of her as she walked out of the office. I walked out of the office, following closely after her and watched as Ally walked past me and over to Camila, grabbing her arm. Camila pulled her arm from Ally's grasp gently,"I've got it, Als. Go back to work. Normani can handle this. I'll be fine."

"Are you sure?" Ally asked Camila, Camila just remained silent staring ahead,"Right. Of course you're sure. Okay then. Dinah's going to take you home after school. So I'll see you later. Good luck." Ally squeezed Camila's arm before disappearing out of the office.
