Once I got home from the cafe, I just busied myself with coursework once I made myself some lunch. No one was home, Uncle John and his family were out visiting Aunt Alice's sister and my parents were at work. As normal as it felt, deep inside I still couldn't believe that I'd finally met him and that we got along so well. I thought of messaging Anna and telling her but decided against it, I'll just tell her later, fave to face. Plus, we just hung out for like thirty minutes. No big deal.

Just as I was finishing up some work I heard the front door open and someone come in.

"I'm home if anyone's here" I heard Becca call out to nobody in particular.

"I'm up here in my room" I reply back and I hear her come up the stairs.

"Hey"

"Hi, you're back early."

"Yeah. Just met my friend and came back here," she says and seats herself on my bed.

"Not visiting your Aunt?"

"Thought I'll do that later, meh"

I raise my brows at her, "Tired or just not feeling it?"

"Mix of both, I guess. Thought I'll go visit her once I'm back from Oxford. You still up for it, right?"

"Of course. Like I said, just let me know beforehand. I don't want you to be somewhere you have no idea about."

"You do realise that I plan on going around, right?"

"Meh, I might just ask Andy to show you around"

"Oooh, your boyfriend? How old is he? What does he do? Tell me everything."

"He's not my boyfriend, Jesus Christ. Why does everyone keep saying that?" I groan.

"Oh oh"

"Andrew is Anna's brother. Anna is my best friend, by the way."

"Is he cute?" I glare at her at that.

"Okay, okay. So what's up with this guy now? If you don't mind me asking, of course. I know that we barely know each other and it's too early for personal stuff."

"Nah, I don't really mind. He likes me I guess, and everyone just keeps teasing and stuff about us being together? I don't know, it's frustrating. Don't get me wrong. I love the guy, as a brother, but-"

"Just talk to him and clear the air?"

"He never told me that he likes me. Anna was the first to say because he told her. It isn't right to just bring it up..."

"Complicated. Wanna get out of here?"

"What? No. Where to even?"

"Somewhere. You know the place, show me around."

"What about lunch?"

"Grabbed some when I was with Jenna. Now come on, close those books," she says as she closes my book and places them on the side.

"Fine, fine. Let me get changed into something fresh."

"I'll be waiting downstairs. Be quick."
