"I love you very much, probably more than anybody could love another person."
-50 First Dates
♡♡♡I was extremely tired halfway through Theory of Everything and couldn't bring myself to stay awake any longer. It was already two in the morning, and we had already finished watching When Harry Met Sally. I could see that film a million times and still never get tired.
Rebecca understood, and we went to bed. I woke up by six, which means I barely got four hours of sleep, but I had managed to revise half of whatever was taught in class yesterday. It was already half past eight. I was planning on doing a bit more of revision and then head to a cafe which was less than ten minutes from my house. It was my favourite place to go to right from when I was a little girl. I remember throwing a tantrum to get a cup of coffee from there whenever we passed by it, but that's when I was small. As I grew up, it became my solace. I started to go there almost every day with my books for an hour or two, sometimes even three.
I went downstairs and quickly sat down for breakfast. Everyone was already here except Rebecca, who was on the phone with someone.
"What took you so long? Everyone's already here."
"Sorry. It was my friend from college," she quickly sits down.
"Isla, we are going down to my sister's house in Newhaven. Would you like to join us?" Alice asks me.
"Oh no, sorry. I can't. I was planning on completing some course work today. Maybe next time," I say apologetically.
"Ah, no worries then. Good luck!"
"When will you be leaving?" I turn to Rebecca.
"Um, I don't know. In less than an hour, probably," she looks at Alice confused.
"I'm going to the cafe down the street in some time if you want you can join me before you go" I shrug. She's been nothing but friendly to me right from when she met me. This is the least I can do.
"Ah, I would love to! But I'm meeting my friend at the train station before I leave," she smiles apologetically.
"Oh, no problem. But you've been here before?"
"Nope. This is my first time here, that's why I'm so excited!"
"Wait, but you have friends here?"
"Yup. She's an internet friend. That's really a thing, Izzy," she laughs and pats my head and goes upstairs. What the hell? I know what internet friends are, psst.
"Oh, and you leave tomorrow?" she asks from the floor above.
"Yeah," I say as I climb the stairs.
"Mind if I join you?"
"W-What?"
"You live in a separate apartment, right? Surely you can accommodate an extra person?"
"But why would you do that? Anna and I will be at college..." we were in my room now.
"I'll just walk around or something. Anything, it's just a day or two. Please?"
"Sure. I've got no problem and I'm sure Anna wouldn't mind either."
"Yay! Thank you so much,"
I smile, "When are you planning on visiting?"
"In two days, if that's okay?"
"Sure. Just let me know before you leave, I'll try to come get you from the station" I say just as I place my MacBook and two other books inside my bag "and I think I'll leave now. Have fun."
