This is my first fan fiction and it will be short(ish) like probably around 30-40 chapters! Tell me if you like it and please give me feed back! I'll probably keep it up even if no one reads it, haha! This story moves pretty fast, but that's how I like to write! I'll try to update every 3-5 days! Please vote and comment and feel free to inbox me whenever! Enjoy :)

Skye's POV
*
*7:45 AM*
I heard my obnoxious alarm clock blaring and smacked the snooze button, groaning. I rubbed my eyes while they adjusted to the blinding sunlight pushing it's way through my window.
But then I remembered something very important and a smile crept it's way onto my face. Today was the day I would finally leave for college.
Distracted, I rolled out of bed. I somehow managed to forget how to use my legs and ended up falling off my bed. I fell with a loud thud and cursed under my breath.
"What a great way to start the day," I sarcastically remarked.
I strolled into my bathroom and looked at my unattractive sleep ridden face. I avoided the mirror and stripped off my pajamas.
I hopped into the shower, turned the knob and stepped into the warm water. Although I was excited to leave this place I call home, I was also slightly nervous; so I spent the majority of my time in the shower coming up with endless scenarios that could possibly take place today. Let's just say that the scenarios didn't lessen my nervousness.
I finished my refreshing shower and started to get ready. I put my hair up in a towel and applied moisturizer to my face. I put on some foundation and mascara with a small black stripe of eyeliner across my lid. That was all the energy I was willing to give on my makeup, so I walked into my closet and grabbed a t-shirt along with a pair of jeans. I slipped on my black high-tops and took a look at myself in the mirror.
I pulled my hair into a messy bun and decided I looked decent enough, so I headed downstairs for breakfast.
As expected, my mom was already up and ready to leave. Her enthusiasm and positive outlook on just about everything usually annoyed me but today, I just ignored it. Nothing was going to ruin today. Nothing.
I made myself a small breakfast then decided to head upstairs to grab my packed bags, phone, and earbuds. I lugged my suitcase down the long flight of stairs and noticed that, other than my mom, none of my family was ready quite yet. Typical Collins family.
I plopped onto the couch and pulled out my phone, aimlessly scrolling through Tumblr while waiting for the rest of my family to get themselves ready.
I was looking forward to getting rid of my 'holier-than-thou' mother constantly hovering over me, but am sad that I would be leaving behind my little siblings. And i'm even a little sad to say goodbye to my step-dad.
By the time my brother, sister, and parents were dressed we were already 30 minutes late. It didn't bother me because I could care less about being on time, but if we were late, that would cause my mom to get stressed out. I didn't have the patience to deal with her pointless stressing.
When everyone finally gathered in the living room my mom started asking me an endless amount of questions while my step-dad picked up my bags and started toward the car.
"Jane, she will be fine! She is grown up and can take care of herself," he said trying to comfort my anxious mother, attempting to stop the flow of questions coming from my mom's mouth.
