Chapter 4

Spencer's P.O.V.

I stood there silent as I replayed my thoughts in my head.

Ava and Lily are twins.

"Spencer? Spencer?" Toby said as I escape my thoughts

"Yeah?"

"Oh, you blanked out for a second," He said, with his eyes filling with concern

"I'm just tired, don't worry," I said staring at the wooden floor

"Good . . . Look Spen-"

"You don't have to say anything, I am happy for you and Aria," I interrupted with a fake smile plastered against my face

"Thank you," He said replicating the fake smile I had on my face

"I think you should leave though,"

"I get it-"

"No, I just think Ava would like to sleep in her own bed plus Lily kicks in her sleep" I said with a small laugh

"Ohh, of course" He said as he picked up Ava and carried her out of the bed

"Bye Spence," He said as he walked out the door with Ava's little arms wrapped around his neck

"Bye,"

I sat next to Lily's bed just stroking her hair and still trying to comprehend what was happening. My whole world had been flipped upside down and my heart was shattered. My brain became numb and my eyes involuntarily started water. Then I heard a faint knocking sound and turned around to see Emily and Alison at the door, I gave them a faint smile indicating they could come in.

"Hey Spence, all the girls are planning to go to the Apple Rose Grille for dinner, wanna join?" Emily asked

"Sure, is it okay if I drop Lily off at my mom's on the way?"

"Yeah, sure. Be ready in 15 then?"

"Sure"

I decided to change my clothes as my t-shirt and jeans were stained with tears. As I ruffled and threw around shirts I found something that tugged on my heart and ripped it out. A shirt. Not just any shirt. His shirt. I held it close to my heart and dropped down against my closet door. Uncontrollable tears ran down my cheeks.

"You are being stupid Spencer, he doesn't love you anymore. He has Aria. Why are you even crying? You are being overly dramatic for no reason. Hastings don't cry. Just pull yourself together, get changed and go out for lunch. Can you do that Spencer? Yes you can." I said in my head in hopes of cheering myself up.

At Lunch

"Hanna, you didn't have to do this" Emily said

"Well Em, I did" Hanna replied

"Han, these are beautiful" I said admiring the rings all of us got. Hanna got each of us rings with our first name's letter

"And that's not the only ring I have to show you" She said while lifting up her right hand, showing us the massive rock on her finger.

"Aghhhh Hanna!!!" Emily screamed at

"Congrats!!"

"Omg Caleb proposed!!"

"We are going to be bridesmaids!!!"

"Thank you guys. I just quickly need to the bathroom, Em can you help me?"

"Really Han?!" Emily replied but Hanna eyed Emily until she agreed

"Fine" Emily said as Hanna rushed Emily by the arm to the bathroom
