The silent pain hidden well behind the smile,
A brief laugh and joke, happy? (for awhile)
But deep within a shadow that can never die,
sits upon a soul creeping, smothering, so vile.
Suicide seems the only way out, to stop the torment,
But to live through it, makes us strong and tough.
We lose a piece of ourselves along the way,
Putting up the barriers and walls, pushing loved ones away.
There are people out there who care for you,
Don't suffer in silence and despair.
