intro
His name was Will. William Henry Brooks, III.
Her name was Lilah. Lilah Tov.
He was finally back at his summer home, after an entire year of waiting.
She was stuck at her aunt and uncle's vacation home for the summer.
Will came from money and high expectations.
Lilah was a tornado of unpredictability.
Will had never met anybody like Lilah Tov.
Lilah had never met anybody like William Henry Brooks, III.
When the two cross paths one evening, it spirals into a summer of late nights on the dock, capsized canoes, picnics in cemeteries, midnight ice-cream raids, and lots and lots of fun. They live just a few yards away from each other, but as they learn, the differences between them stretch far past the physical barrier separating their homes. With an unleashed Lilah and a worried William, they're both in for a summer that they'll never forget. This is William and Lilah's story.
A/N: Sorry. I couldn't resist. I like boating and wearing boat shoes and boys who wear boat shoes, so this is just a bit of a release for me. I promise that y'all will like this, even if you think that you won't. Oh, and if you know Hebrew (which is, like, none of you), then you're probably wondering why Lilah's name is what is. All shall be explained later. Okay. Cool.
