Spaces

"These miles between us won't matter" was what you said,
But these words just vanished with the smoke from your cigarette.

Love is still there, standing at the same station,
But it's suffocated in the crowd of misunderstandings and expectations.

Trust faded, we learned some creative apologies,
What we failed to learn was that each of us had different priorities.

I let the past kill every possibility of future,
And you just stood there, calling me a broken creature.

The last blow was given by jealousy and pride,
It left us with regrets and no place to hide.

And now I'm trying to find you in these empy faces,
With the hope of creating a way to kill these spaces.
