Tommy

Night fell. The wind got colder and picked up. I mentally swore at myself for stealing a thin coat. Shivering, I huddled up next to a rock with a sigh. There was no way I would win this without dying. No way at all. I was about to close my eyes and cry myself to sleep, when something hit me. Now, see, when you're alone, no way to stay alive, nobody to help you in a dark and twisted game of life or death, you're freaked out. I jumped abit. Looking around, heart racing, I calmed down when I saw the kind smile of Nick.

He sat next to me. At first, none of us said anything. Just star gazed. After awhile, I looked at Nick. He smiled and took off his coat, wrapping it around me. "Thanks, nerd," I joked. Nick chuckled abit, his glasses shining. "No problem. Hey Tom? Why'd you leave? We were worried sick," He said. I sighed, taking off my mask (A/N, he put the mask back on-) off and looking at him. My curly, blonde hair falling in my eyes, my eyes watering due to the hair poking it. Nick stared at me. I set my mask on the ground.

"I......I knew the orange was there, Nick. I knew and I....I didn't make a move to help! I didn't warn anyone! Our egg is gone and Uni is dead...." Tears started to fall. "And its all my fault." I said, looking down. I sobbed silently to myself, until I felt a warm embrace. Nick was hugging me, most likely out of pity. Nonetheless, I hugged back. "And?" He asked in his deep voice. Like the one he used to read the note to us that first day we met. I chuckled to myself. He was using his narrator voice.

"And......Ashlie knew. She found out and she kicked me out. Im not apart of this team," I admitted, wiping my tears away. My heart grew heavy, but at the same time, a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. Nick tightened the hug. "Tommy, ignore Ashlie. She was scared and paranoid and wasn't thinking straight. Even she was worried about you. Whatever anyone says, just know one thing. You're apart of this team. Even if you do absaloutly no work at all, we still love you." I smiled to myself. The was the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me in how many years?

"Thanks Nick...." I said. Nick broke the hug and smiled at me. I smiled back and put my mask back on. He stood up and I followed. "C'mon," He said. "Lets go back to our base and see how we can rek these nerds."
