Fourteen: Egg Destruction + Uni Says Goodbye

I was shook awake by Nick. I groaned and looked at him, eyes heavy and tired. "Cory, hurry, get up!" He yelled at me. I rubbed my eyes. "What-" I was cut off when Jon appeared in the spawn spot. He seemed worried and nervous. He pulled out a wooden sword and ran up the stairs. I was gonna ask what was going on, but it was answered for me in a way that made my heart drop. In a way that made me tense up. In a way that sent fear and sheer panic throughout my body.

"FUCK!" I screamed, pulling out my sword. I rushed up the stairs, but stopped at the entrance. It was a massacre. Jon was pinned up against a wall and was holding someone away with his sword, Ashlie and Nick were fighting, Uni was passed out on the ground and was being stabbed over and over again and Tommy had locked himself on the balcony. Nick rushed in and helped Uni. I snapped out of it and ran over to Jon, swinging my sword and hitting the orange in the arm. The orange yelped in pain and turned around to face me. Jon ran out of the corner and got a running start, stabbing the orange in the side. The orange toppled over, their helmet breaking. They looked up at me, fear in their eyes. For a moment, I felt bad.

But only for a moment.

I swung my sword repeatedly until the orange had multiple stab wounds and was heavily bleeding. I swung once more. Bananolamo was slain by NewScapePro. I turned around, ready to kill another orange. But there was no more. The others cleaned up. Now they were crowded around Uni. Me and Jon ran over.

Uni was struggling to breathe. He was pouring blood, mainly out of his torso. He was smiling, but crying and he had blood dripping out of his mouth. "Uni..." I started. "Don't worry about me, guys. You still have five amazing members of the team. I wasn't as good as I thought I was at protecting the egg. I...." he stopped to gasp and cough "I let our egg get destroyed. I doomed us all. Focus on surviving.....Im sorry," and just like that, he let out a breath. A painful, painful breath. Then. UNiCOMICS was killed by MellowMellowFellow.

I felt tears prick the corner of my eyes. I had no idea why I was crying. I only knew that man for a day. In one day, we destroyed and egg. In one day, we died and was given a second chance and in this hell. I sighed and stood up. Orange team is going down. For real this time.
