(so after much thought and consideration I've decided to continue this series, but I'm going to reset it so it fits in with my new fanfic universe, I'll keep the old story here so you can go back and read it, or I could like... idk I could like file it under a different story, I basically am just making this story fit in with the others)

Boruto's POV

I woke up and stretched. today was the first day of school at the Ninja Academy.

"Boruto! Wake up you're going to be late!" Hinata yelled up to me. I shot out of bed and quickly changed. I ran down the hallway and brushed my teeth. I ran down the stairs, I looked at the family portrait that lived on the stoop.

"Boruto, Hurry up," I head Himawari say behind me.

"Sorry Hima," I said to her as I ran down the stairs and grabbed my breakfast.

"I'll eat this on the way there," I said to my mom as I grabbed my lunch and ran out the door.

"Boruto, you forgot your breakfast," Mom said as I was halfway down the driveway.

"Oh, Did I really forget it again?" I said walking back in and eating it quickly.

"Okay, bye," I said running out the door and running down the street to the train station. Shikadai was just getting there as soon as I was.

"Hey Shikadai, are you running late too?" I asked him.

"No, I just didn't feel like getting out of bed until I had to," Shikadai said yawning and looking down the tracks. The train was getting closer, the tooting of its whistle

"The train's gonna be here in a couple seconds be ready to jump," Shikadai said to me getting on top of a pole.

"Hey you took my spot," I said getting ready to jump on the train.

"What, it's easier to get on the train from here," Shikadai said leaping from the pole and landing on the train gracefully.

"Showoff," I said to Shikadai as I jumped up on top of the train, I stumbled at the edge of the train, and while I was unbalanced I let go of my lunch, I watched from the top of the train as it fell onto the train platform and fell apart on the ground.

"Damnit, what am I gonna eat now," I said looking over at Shikadai, he was holding a big bag lunch, I put on a big mischievous face, and said,

"I guess I'll have to steal it from someone". Before I could take a step towards Shikadai I was frozen in place.

"Dangit dude I was kidding," I said to Shikadai as he stood up and held his lunch in a defensive position.

(also yes I get it, it's just a lunch, but it's a lunch that wars will be fought over, men will die over, women will cry, babies will be born, and nukes will be launched, this lunch, is the most precious possession known to mankind {IDK WTF THAT WAS BUT OKAY})

"You sure?" Shikadai said turning his body away and hiding the lunch while looking back at me.

"Yes, I'm sure, I'll just buy lunch today," I said getting serious.

"Okay," Shikadai said releasing the jutsu.

"Okay," I said stepping back.

(This got way too intense, for a lunch. I mean I know it's food...well then actually yeah I get it)

Shikadai looked up from me and at Konoha.

"Hey we're getting pretty close, we'll have to jump off soon," Shikadai said standing up and stepping to the edge of the train.
