"Hope, Rachel I need to get out of this place like yesterday." Eliza said as she reached her two best friends since she transfer school four years ago. Eliza is an average 17 year old girl with dark black hair and light brown eyes.

Eliza and her father live in a semi small town. They live in the house that is behind the restaurant that her father owns. The restaurant is frequent by the students that attended the private school that has built a reputation to be on of the best school in the country. Eliza didn't get to have the change to get to know her mom since she passed away when Eliza was five years old. She has pictures but doesn't really remember any real detail about her.

Both Hope and Rachel looked at her, "What happened?" Hope asked as she and Rachel exchanged a worried look.

"It's the first day back after winter break and you want to leave early?" Rachel questioned.

Hope and Rachel knew that if Eliza wanted to leave it had to be something big and that it also had to do with Exander the only boy that Eliza had every really looked at or paid any attention to since they had met her.

"Yeah, I know is the first day back but this is an emergency. I need out right now." Eliza looked at both Rachel and Hope.

There was something in Eliza's eyes that made Hope cave in. "Fine let's go to the gym and spar a little that always come you down. We have a free period next anyways and if you still feel like escaping this place after we will go with you." Hope said as she got up from her seat and began to walk toward the gym.

"What the hell happened to put you in this kind of mood on our first day back?" Rachel asked as she held the door open to the gym. No sooner had they enter thru the doors when Eliza began to attack both of them. Ever since Eliza started at the Academy she had taken up martial art classes with both Rachel and Hope. It was actually because of one of the classes that they had taken that they became friends. Rachel and Hope reacted quickly and block her attack and made their way to the center of the gym.

"I really don't care what got her like this, I like when she doesn't hold back," Hope said a smile on her face as the sparing continue.

"Fine but after this, she is going to have to spill what has her in such a mood." Rachel said setting the topic aside for the moment and enjoying the exercise. After an hour of sparring the three of them sat down on the floor in the middle of the gym sweet coming down their faces and smiles on their faces.

"Okay that was fun and all but you have to spill what happened to put you in that mood," Hope asked at Eliza with concern in her eyes.

"Here drink some of this." Rachel said as she reached for her bag and pulled out a water bottle that each one took a turn drinking from.

"I guess you should hear it from me first since I am pretty sure that it will be all over school before lunch time is even over," Eliza said as she let out a sigh of defeat.

"How bad could it be? Come on tell us and we will figure out a way to make it better." Hope said as she patted Eliza's leg.

"So remember that I told you that I was going to talk to Mr. Sal about keeping me in the same classes with you since he has been trained to change my schedule since before we left for winter break," Eliza asked as she pauses to get confirmation. Once Hope and Rachel shake their heads in acknowledgment Eliza continued. "Well, once I had finished talking to him and finally convinced him to keep me whit you guys, I was making my way back to meet you when I bumped into Exander," Eliza said as she started to play the incident back in her mind.

"So that doesn't sound like a big deal." Rachel said.

"It wouldn't be except that this time I actually talked back," Eliza said hiding between her hands.

"You mean you just didn't turn around and walked away like you usually do." Home asked.

"That is exactly what it means. You see Exander said in his stern voice, 'Are you blind as well as stupid.' And of cure, I couldn't stay quiet about that fact. He doesn't even know me so why is he insulting me." Eliza said.

"Well obesely you didn't punch his light out or we would be having a totally different conversation. So what was it that you did?" Rachel said crossing her arms waiting for Eliza to confess to whatever it was that she ended up doing.

"No, I didn't punch him. I think what I did was even worse. I challenge him to see who would get the better score in the next exams." Eliza said knowing that in a way she had put herself in a position that would mean exposing a secret that she had been hiding this past four years.

"What was his response?" Hope asked once Eliza became quite.

"He basically told me that it would take a miracle to get me on that list and that it would be hard to come by one of those for me." Eliza said as she took another big breath and continued, "That was when I truly lost it and bet him that I would make it into the top 100. He accepted and said that if I lost I would have to sign in front of the whole school and that if he lost he would a mite that I was smart. After we shook on it I stormed out without thinking of the consequences."

"That doesn't sound so bad from your expression and your reactions earlier I thought it was more series." Rachel said a relive smile on her face.

"There is more," Eliza said.

"How can there be more. We all know that you cannot really sing and I don't think that the teacher would punish the whole student population with your singing." Hope said train to bring humor into a situation that looks to be getting worse.

"You both know that I have had the biggest crush on Exander since I saw him four years ago," Eliza said looking from Hope to Rachael.

"Yeah, you and about half the population of girls and some guys have a crush on him. I still cannot understand why but to each their own." Hope said.

"Two days ago I diced that since it was our last year and I was probably not going to see him after this I diced to write him a letter to let him know how I felt about him," Eliza said getting restless she stood up and started passing back and forth. "I was waiting by his locker to give it to him but he completely ignores me the bad thing was that he was not alone he was with his friend Cole."

"You what?" Rachel and Hope said simultaneously as they got up from the floor.

"When were you going to tell us?" Hope asked.

"I was going to tell you I just need time to process what he said while he just completely ignore me earlier, but then I ran into him again you know what happened," Eliza said as she tried to remain come.

"What did he say when you tried to give him the letter?" Rachel asked.

"He said that instead of wasting my time I should focus more on my studies because he would never go out with a person like me," Eliza said looking at her friends.

"It okay we are going to start studying and we will show him that he was wrong about you and we will make him admit that he was wrong," Hope said coming closer to Eliza and putting her hand around her shoulder. Rachel took up the other side.

"Know let get out of here before we are late for the next class. The day is almost over and we only have two more classes. Tomorrow is Saturday and we don't have to worry about the people of the school acting stupid until Monday rolls back around." Rachel said as she let go of Eliza and gather her things from the floor. Eliza and Hope following behind her as she made her way out of the gym.

For the last couple of hours, Eliza only had to worry about the loud whispers when she passed thru the halls and the occasional finger pointing in her general direction but nothing major happened for the rest of the day.
