If Lena was being honest with herself, she didn't want to be at the show tonight. She was going to be an emotional wreck probably, after being so close to all of these guys only to see three of them go home tonight. She wasn't sure she could really do it. Three boys HAD to go home, but she couldn't decide which ones would leave her least upset. If Michael went home, she knew that she wouldn't be happy, she probably wouldn't be able to hold back tears if he didn't make it, but if he didn't make it, then they would have a shot together. But she didn't want to hold him back if he did. It was a really complicated system.
A system that required the fact that she needed to add in someone else's feelings: Nick's.
He liked her, had told her that much when they met at the Teen Choice Awards, but that night was such a blur from a few weeks ago that she didn't really remember if they said anything else along those lines.
Now she was supposed to be spending time with them after the show finished, and when the boys from the show came back after they had time at home, they had to work on the song she had with them and film the music video. More time with them, which she liked, but if she couldn't be with Michael, she didn't want to make it awkward.
Also considering the fact that Michael hadn't actually texted or talked to her directly since she called him on the phone. It was getting to be too much for her.

"Any advice?" Michael asked Lena as they sat on the bed in Drew's room. Currently, all the boys who had come back for the final show were all hanging out in Drew's room, catching up before they had a busy schedule.
She shook her head, looking down at the floor to avoid his eyes. Things were awkward between them and the rest of the boys. While Michael had told them what her situation was, they still weren't quite aware of the rules. This was probably the last she'd see them in a few weeks before they had to work on her new song with them and film the music video.
"Anything you want to say, then?" he asked her.
"Just," she started, finally looking up into his blue eyes. "Don't forget your history."
DAMN GUYS! I'm at like 9k and I'm so happy with the response that this book has seen. Unfortunately, I am ending this book here without any forewarning. Fortunately, there will be a sequel and we will be getting the end of Mena's story, which will be a happy ending because Mena is life and I can't not have them be happy together. See everyone in History!!
