I met a blind girl today,
Although she didn't say much she asked me to stay,
She didn't talk to me with her eyes,
In the blankness I could see the lies,
That forced the thoughts of dying,
But instead it forced crying.

She told me of the things she wished to see,
I told her someone would show her the world that someone being me,
I made a list of the things to be seen,
I also noticed how she was lean,
Looking lifeless but feeling so alive although,
You'd never know,
With the blankness in her eyes.

She told me of the people that took her for granted,
"She is stupid. She is blind who cares?," they chanted.
I told her not to worry and forget about them,
"Don't hold onto the past and your misery,
Let it be apart of history."

I loved this girl she had near impossible,
But dreams I wanted to fulfill,
She told me of this boy who had judged her for being blind,
I told her that I'd never let him near her,
So she said "Go now leave."
I was the one who was blind.
