A Love Worth Getting Stabbed For?

8 2 1

Love is transcendant
But for those who can't
I will not offer my pity
For you see
I am one of the same

I too wasn't blessed with love in this life
Instead life offered me a knife
And stuck it firmly in my back
Then you arrived to hijack
Any chance of happiness I had left

You whispered me a paradise
You told me my love would suffice
Instead you pulled my heart straight from my chest
Yet still I considered you the best
Why does this life spite me?

I was struck by you, you gave me something different
I did crave you, your essence controlled my movement, my emotions, my life
I suppose it's good I have this knife
So I could pay you back
