Chapter 3
The One With Moving Too Fast

Angelica's POV

It's been a few weeks since the whole John Church incident. Currently, I was dancing around my dorm, singing "Moving Too Fast" from The Last Five Years loudly. Thomas was at his last class of the day, so the place was empty.

"I left Columbia and I don't regret it!" I sang, jumping onto our couch. "I wrote a book and Sonny Medha read it! My hearts been stolen! My egos swollen, and I'll just keep rolling alooooooooooong yeah! And I think well, well, what else is in store? Got all this and more before twenty four." I jumped on the floor gracefully, like the elegant angel I am. "It's hard not to be sure, I'm spinning out of control." I span around with the words, my arms spread out. "Out of controooolll oh-" I yelped, pausing my spins when I saw Thomas standing in the doorframe, smirking.

"Hey." He said, amusement dancing across his features. "Hey." I squeaked. "Do you have a class soon?" I blinked. "No." He stepped closer to me, taking my hands that were still awkwardly hanging in the air, spinning me around, shocking me. "I'm feelin panicked and rushed and worried. I'm feelin out-maneuvered and out-classed." He danced around with me, making me laugh. "But I'm so happy I can't get worried about this singular impression..." I sang. "I've got a singular impression..." he sang quietly, moving closer to me. "Things are moving too fast." We sang together.

We stared at each other in a peaceful silence, my face blushed lightly. I couldn't help but noticed how closer our heads were. Somehow, our heads mutually started drifting closer to each other, about to close the space between us until-

Knocking. "Hey Ang? Can you open up? I need to talk to you." It was Burr. Fucking Burr. Every single time. I blinked, moving away from Thomas, trying to fight the blush away. I opened the door, looking at him annoyed. "Yes?"

"I need to talk to you." Was all he said. I bit my lip. "Yeah that's what you literally just said when you interup-" I cut myself off. There's no way in hell Burr's gonna know I almost kissed Thomas. "Before I interrupted what?" I shook my head. "Nevermind. What do you need?" I stepped aside so he could come in, and be gratefully did so. "I, uh- so, well, Ange, I- we- you-" I sighed. "Always have a way with words, don't you?"

Aaron rolled his eyes. "Shut up. Anyway, Ang, since you're the mom friend of the group, I just thought you should know something." I held up my hand. "I thought Herc was the mom friend?" Aaron shook his head. "No, you're the mom friend. He's the dad friend." I blinked. "Okay then, continue." Aaron glanced at Thomas, who was standing there awkwardly. "Uhh, alone?" He asked quietly. I sighed. "No, whatever you have to say you can say to my roommate too."

Aaron stepped over to me and whispered into my ear. "I have a crush on someone." I gasped. This calls for desperate measures. "Sorry, Tommy, gotta go." I grabbed Aaron's wrist and dashed to the bedroom. "Spill." I commanded, sitting on the bed. "Uhm, well, I've been talking to Theodosia and she's like really nice, and I have a few classes with her and she's really smart and she's just so beautiful and I... Angie... I think I really like her..." he said like all in one breath. I squealed. "YES!"

"So does she like you too?" I asked. Aaron shrugged. "I don't know." I bit my lip. "Does she have a class right now?" As soon as he shook his head, I sprinted out of the dorm, running down the hall before Burr could stop me. I arrived at their dorm, knocking loudly. "THEO! OPEN UP, PLEASE!" I shouted, getting a weird look from a couple passing me. Soon enough, she opened the door. "Hey Ang, uh, come in?" She said, but I had already gone in.

"So I just was wondering something." I said. "Okay... go on?" She closed the door, sitting in a chair. "How do you like your roommate? I mean, like I know what I feel about him but I was just wondering what you thought." I saw her blush lightly. "Uh, he's nice... kinda quiet... he's..." she trailed off. I looked at her. "He's...?"

"He's like... he's really adorable and... handsome?" She squeaked out the last part. I hummed. "Do you like him?"

"I- uh- well- I- ugh, please don't tell him?" I smiled. "Wouldn't dream of it. Bye Theo!" I said before walking out. After I closed the door, I sprinted down the hall, back into my dorm room. "HOLY SHIT, THOMAS, YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT I HAVE TO TELL YOU!" I screamed, jumping into his arms... platonically. Right? Ugh, I'll worry about my love life right after Burr's. Well- not love life, just like, relationships, and, uh, yeah.

"Anyway! So Theo like Aaron and Aaron likes Theo, but the catch is neither of them know that the other likes them." I said quietly. "Oh. Well, what should we do?" I suddenly came up with an idea, gasping as I did. "Maybe I could forge their handwriting and set them up on a date?" Thomas nodded. "Good idea. I love it." I bit my lip. "Can we spy on them?" Thomas sighed. "No, Ang, that's going too far. Plus, they'd see us and just not do anything." I nodded. "Right, you're right. I'll do it tomorrow. But now, I'll kick Burr out and we can watch a movie?"

Thomas smiled. "Yeah, sure." I grinned and walked into my bedroom. It's almost like the even earlier never happened... "get the fuck out." I said cheerfully. Burr blinked, but did as I said. I skipped back into the room and pulled Thomas to the couch, putting on a random movie that I knew he liked...

Why do I wish I had kissed him earlier?

Hmmhmhmgmhmh this was okay
