Imprint

Jared

He had to protect the tribe. It was his number one priority. It was the number one priority of all the wolves in the pack. Except for Sam. His first priority was Emily. His everything was Emily. And it was all because of the imprinting.

You make eye contact with 'the one' and it happens. You're stuck. You can't stand to date anyone else. You can't stand to be apart from the imprintee. It doesn't sound very appealing to Jared. Maybe it was a one time thing with Sam. It's not going to happen to everyone. And it's not like your other half was roaming around in close proximity. If Jared kept himself away from new people, he should be safe.

The thought was comforting. Jared didn't need to be pining over someone right now. Once Jared saw Sam get rejected by Emily. It was sad really. It was like Sam had died for a few days or something. He was barely functioning. Jared did not need to be going through that sort of devastation. Sam and Emily were still in the middle of working things out. All of them disliked watching the both of them suffer.

Jared started to get ready for school. Today he would be returning to school since he first shifted. It's been 10 days. He had a lot of catching up to do.

After school there was going to be a pack meeting. Something to do with the Cullen clan. He sighed annoyed,it must have something to do with Bella. Since everything concerning the vampire clan was related to Bella Swan somehow. She was a cool person but he just couldn't get past her obsession for vampires.

He started to head for school, walking slowly. It felt weird going to school after everything that's happened. He was different now. He felt different now.
He met Embry on the way. He was still a Junior while he was a senior. He would have to talk to his classmates all day, trying to fit in. The thought exhausted him, he really didn't want to go school anymore.

" Jared! Ready for school today?"

" Uh-Huh."

Embry smiled real wide and commented on Jared's lack of enthusiasm,

" Boy, you're real excited to be be back aren't you?"

They continued walking together. Embry was also a shape-shifter and a part of the pack. He helped a lot when Jared first started to turn. They had formed a bond.

School was passing as well usual. But somehow it had become even more boring. Guess that's what happens when you turn into a vampire hunting werewolf. Everything else in life just becomes downright dull.

Second period was chemistry. He had to go to the lab. Just like before,he sat down in his seat. People were just starting to file in.

The teacher started the class. His Chemistry partner...whose name he had forgotten again was late.

Suddenly a girl with really long, dark hair rushed inside the lab. She apologized for being late and gave the teacher a late pass. She was walking with her eyes glued to the floor. He recognized her even with all the hair shading her face. She was his chemistry partner.

He thought she was going to completely avoid him but right before sitting down she glanced at him for a few fleeting moments.

Time stopped.

He truly saw her for the very first time.

No one was this beautiful.

He was still staring at her.

Woah.

He couldn't look away.

His vision started to blur.

His heart was beating frantically.

Sweat bloomed all over his body.

He was hers now.

He would be whatever she wanted him to be as long he could be near her.

If she was happy, Jared didn't need anything else.

Something significant was happening to his body. He could feel it.

And it felt right. It felt magnificent.

He was chained to her forever and he didn't care.

He would be more than happy to be her slave.

He realized amidst the humming in his ears what was happening.

He was imprinting.
