Sarcasm is definitely my language.

Standing in a mall with your mom, might seem cool to you,or maybe even fun,but I can assure you that it is not.And what I mean by that is,my Saturday afternoon is filled with telling my mom that she looks good in a dress, when she actually looks like a monkey in a bikini.

"Mom you look amazing!Dark orange is definitely your color!"

I was in the mall with my mom because she needed "bonding time." We tried on some more clothes, after getting kicked out for being in there too long. Then we went to another store. After about three hours in the store,we decided to head out.

To the food court.

Isn't pizza and Chinese food just amazing? We got our food and found a clean table. My mom and I chatted about life and school, the usual topics. It felt nice talking with her,and not comlipenting her.We talked about my Aunt Diane's upcomimg wedding until we had nothing else to say.Until there was a silence. Well, not really a silence, because the mall was really loud.A silence between the two of us,is what I should have said.

She decided to break the silence."So,do you have a boyfriend yet?"

I nearly choked on my soda.

Okay,I get that she was asking a question......but......WHAT?! Out of all the questions you could have asked me you chose that one?Why that one?She knows I don't date anyone because of what happened last year......

"Sweetie what's wrong?"she asked me,taking a bite of her pizza.

"Our president..... pollution..... gangs.....should I continue?"I asked.

She smiled."No!Thats not what I meant and you know it.When I asked you if you had a boyfriend you choked on your coke."she stated pouting.

I tilted my head."Mom you know I don't want to start dating again.Last year was bad enough,I just want to get a good start at this new school. That means,no boys,no drama, and no squealing besties."I said.I looked down at my soda and twirled the straw.

"Okay Okay I get it."she paused."Its just that your 19, and you already have the good grades. I feel like you need a boyfriend."She took my hand, and leaned in closer.

"Or at least a friend."

We got home and unpacked our things.I didn't get a lot of clothes, only a "super cute" dress my mom forced me into getting, but its not like I'll be wearing it.I packed it away along with my sweatshirts and jeans that I bought, and headed downstairs.

My dad was watching the game with my twin brother, and there was popcorn everywhere. This was there normal routine, whenever the game was on.I went to grab a chip and some dip, from the table, but Trent pushed me away.

"Dude watch out from in front of the TV!I will seriously knock you out."he said his eyes glued to the TV.

Well then. I leaned in,and whispered in his ear."Try me."

He didn't look away from the TV,so I was a little confused.Usually when he wants to "knock me out" (which isn't really beating me up,its more like tickling.) he would always take up the offer.

Then, the commercial came on.My first instinct was to run,but then a pillow hit me in the stomach.

"Agh!"I yelled, grabbing another pillow.Trent had hit me.We kept on pillow fighting and Trent kept on yelling at me for "ruining his precious game" but then I muttered something that made him laugh,so then he surrendered.

"Okay okay,enough fighting,King Kong."

He held up his hands in defense, and I turned around to head for the kitchen.......

Whack!

I got hit in the back.I turned around,to find a hysterical teenager."Hey!You called a truce,Trent."I said,pouting.

He sat back down in the couch and the game came back on."Oh shut up and pass me a coke."he half asked, half demanded.I rolled my eyes, and went to the fridge. But then I paused and went to the cabinet instead.

My dad and my arrogant brother kept on yelling at the screen,as I searched the cupboards. My mom was sleeping so I figured wouldn't get in trouble,as long as dad was here.

I glanced over at them,as their eyes were still glued,to the screen, not blinking at all.Geez.Get a grip people, back in my day,we didn't have football games and technology......oh wait.

I grabbed a plastic bag and filled it up with flour.Your probably wondering why I did this, but its for my own entertainment.

I picked up the bag,and walked back over to the couch where the two couch potatoes were.Trent looked up at me,and asked me "Where's my coke?"

I handed him the bag of flour, and he looked confused.

"What the hell is this?"he asked, looking at it.

"Its your coke.As in cocaine."I said, smiling as I walked away.

I paused for affect, also to see what he would do.He didn't do anything, except looked at dad.

"Dad!Lilly's trying to sell me drugs!"he whined.

I burst out laughing, and walked away.I sighed.I didn't know what to do with my free time.I didn't really have any friends, probably because we just moved here.I was going to start my last year of highschool, but in a different school.I have to admit,I was a little bummed out when I realized I wouldnt have any friends, but I try to just make like Taylor Swift, and Shake it off.

Okay, but for real though, moving to a new school is tough.I might act all cool and chill about it,but its just a reminder to me of what I'm supposed to feel.School is scary, especially when you don't know anyone.

I was about to turn the doorknob to the game room, until I heard a thud. And it was loud.

I thought it came from my moms bedroom,so I ran over the other side of the hallway to see what happened. All of a sudden the house had gotten quiet.

I opened the door and fell to the ground. My heart sank as I saw my mother, looking lifeless.

On the floor.
