*Second chapter*

In Terrabitia, The Weather, The Lake and The Tree

A few seconds later, they were in Terrabitia, but Steve did not believe it. While Leslie said:

--Look! this is the Lake.

--Mmm what happened? Where are we? -he said very scared- And how did we get here?

--Now do you believe me? Well Steve, we are in... I do not know what this place is called, but I gonna ask the owl

--wow...wow... wow... Are there any owls here?

--Yes, there are, there are some owls, and the biggest of them can talk.

--Really?

--Yes, the owl has told me about the weather in this place. It is complicated, but I will try to explain you... During the day, there are four seasons; in the morning, it rains so hard. In the afternoon, it is cloudy. In the evening, it snows and at night the sun . We can only leave this place when the lake is not frozen.

--I did not believe you, I thought it was a dream.

--No Steve this is real, and now it's cloudy, so let's hurry because we gonna come back home when the snow melts.

The guys started to walk until arriving to the biggest tree. There were some owls, and the biggest of them flew and he put himself in front of the guys, but Leslie said: --he is coming with me.

--He is my best friend -Leslie said- his name is Steve.

--My dear Leslie, this place is very dangerous. I did not tell you about the monsters in this place, but there are some here.

--Mo...mo...mon... monsters -Steve said very afraid-, what kind of monsters?

--Well, we are defending the Magic Tree of some monsters, we fight with the monsters and we kill putting a light in from of them, there are different, but I do not know what kind of monsters they are.

--Why are you defending this tree? -Leslie asked him very confused.

--Because this is a magic tree. This is the TREE OF LIFE. In the heart of the tree there is a fairy and we have to protect her.

--Leslie, let's get out from this place -Steve said-, I am very afraid. I do not like monsters and you know it.

--Steve keep calm please. -Leslie said-, Big Owl how can we help you?

--You can help collecting seeds to give them to the fairy.

So, the owl started to talk with them about the seeds, the fairy and the tree. After that, it started to snow and they decided to walk around the lake. They made a pair of skates with a piece of tree. They were playing in the snow while the owl was watching them. A few seconds later, they heard a big noise under the lake, the ice of the lake started to brake, some horrible tentacles began to go out of the water. They felt very scared, and left the lake. The monster had about ten tentacles, his body was full of scales, he was short. But the owl flew in front of the monster and he started to fight with him. Finally, the owl killed the monster pointing in his eyes with a light. Then the owl said;

--I am going to show you our country and the Terrabitians.

--Terrabitians? -Leslie asked surprise-, who are they?

--They are the inhabitant of this place. The Terrabitians are strong, tall, they have hazel and big eyes. The Terrabitians are like humans, the difference is that Terrabitians do not die naturally and they can see in the darkness as well.

So, the owl put them in his back, and they went to know all the country.
