A Sticky Situation

The First Day Part 1

A bright light crept into the young man's room as the sun rose to greet him. It was his last year in high school, and he hoped to finally get to do something that a gay senior male would do. Kiss an extremely hot guy. John Shepard woke up, running a hand through his hair. "Damn, I gotta get this bad boy shaved again." A sigh escaped the young man's lips, looking at the time which read 7:50 AM. "Oh shit!" Shepard cried out in a deep voice, rushing to get his gear, food, and clothes. He, the captain of the football team at Alliance Prep, was almost late for school. "Coach Anderson is going to kill me!" His mind raced as he made it on the bus before it left. Most people who went to Alliance Prep took the bus. Half of his friends were on the bus and they smiled at him.
"Hey, Shepard's here!"
"Yeah, what's got ya, loco? You almost missed the bus!"
"Shepard, we're gonna kick the Reapers' asses, right?"
Shepard nodded at his friend who asked the question, Urdnot Wrex, and sat down in a row with a kid who he knew as Kaidan Alenko. His future boyfriend.

Kaidan mentally groaned in his head when he got on the bus. The jerks that bullied him were on the bus again, but so was the guy who "claimed" to love him, James Vega. James and Kaidan had dated when Kaidan transferred from "Brain Camp" back in his Freshman year of Alliance Prep. Of course, Kaidan ended up becoming Vega's fuckbuddy. Vega began dating the co-captain of the cheerleading team, Jane Shepard. Kaidan murmured a few curse words under his breath until he noticed an extremely hot guy sit next to him. "Wait, isn't that Commander John Shepard? Well, Captain Shepard, but everyone calls him Commander. Is he really sitting next to me?" The older male asked himself, glancing at the hot young man sitting next to him. He turned away when the boys called out.
"Hey Shepard, you got an admirer!"
"You crazy, Garrus! Kaidan is my boy toy!"
Kaidan had enough and stood up, taking off the glasses he wore so people would leave him alone. "I am no one's boy toy, you sonuvabitch!" He yelled at the man, sitting back down next to Shepard. He glanced over and saw Shepard's shocked face. "What are you looking at?"

Shepard looked away and murmured something. "I never knew you had such pretty eyes, Kaidan..." Shepard muttered under his breath. He never really spoke the truth, but now this was a truth. Shepard's blue eyes, like a vibrant blue light, met Kaidan's chocolate brown ones. Shepard bit his lip and turned away before his friends could see what he was doing. He already had a girlfriend, but he knew that he wasn't straight. He wished that his friends could stop picking on Kaidan though, and he found himself blurting out a question.
"Would you want to play football with us, Kaidan?"
