her shoe laces hit the ground like rain drops
it was a beautiful day for a storm
her pink shoes with bedazzled heels sparkled
as they walked down the pavement
there was a gem in the sky today
It was glowing like the there should be angels at her back
someone please walk behind her
guide her as she travels through the streets with the kids who learned only how to mock
It’s not her fault that she was born with skin so blotched all people could do was double takes.
But please will someone just look at the shoes she bedazzled.
