In 2011, EXO are supposed to debut with 15 members. However EXO debut as 12 members. EXO's name group was given by SM in 2012 after some of trainee that should debut in boy group that will debut from SM leave the company.
Suho was supposed to debut with Shinee but SM debut him with EXO.
If EXO gonna debut as 15 members, the other 3 members were Timoteo,Jin and Johnny.
However, Jin not official trainee and he also get an offered to become BH trainee. So Jin officially left SM before EXO debut. Timoteo left SM and EXO before they debut because he wait very long and his parents keep asking him to left and just be a normal person. However he get an offered from other company. But sadly he had to wait for a long time because Hotshot debut on 2014. Johnny was official become NCT member and not EXO member.
In 2014, after Luhan left, KYM want to replace Luhan with Taeyong of NCT. However , Taeyong didn't want it. He said he want to debut with NCT and he said EXO is legend and he will never get the legend down. After Taeyong didn't accept the offered, Hansol of SMRookies also asked for replaced Luhan but he denies it. He said he want to debut with NCT no matter what. EXO is EXO. He wonder EXO will not be same if he joining the group.
Kasper, EXO's main choreographer and SM Best Choreographer also asked to debut in EXO by KYM but LSM take him as SM's choreographer due too his specialty and succeed.
Now,2017 .. EXO are officially being group with 9 members. 3 former members still under SM but possibility for them to joining EXO is very hars. So EXO keep supporting them!!
