*Theo's POV*
I woke up outside on the pavement, covered in blood and scratches. I ached from head to toe. I violently looked around. Where's Liam? I couldn't see him anywhere. In fact, I could see no one.And then I remembered.
I remembered the conversation between Gerard and his fellow hunter.
They wanted him.
They wanted Liam.
Where is Liam?!
I forced myself up and ran. I don't know where I was running to. But I ran. I knew I had to find him. He could be dead already. I ran and ran, hurriedly trying to find something or someone. My eyes welled up with tears as I pictured Liam lying dead in the ground, or being captured and tortured by Gerard.
"Liam!" I screamed with tears streaming down my cheeks. "Where are you baby!"
Nothing.
"Liam!"
Silence.
I stumbled to the ground and sobbed. He was gone. He was dead. It was all over. I would never see him again. I just wanted to see his smiling face once more, glowing as he sees me. I just wanted him to run up to me and squeeze me into a hug. But it was no use. He was gone.
I remember when we had our first kiss. We were cuddled up together on the school field, admiring the heat of the sun as it danced on our delicate skin, making us glow with not only happiness and love, but warmth and comfort. I kissed him delicately on the cheek and rested my head on top of his. Our hands were interlocked with each other, our bodies touching in the sunlight. He suddenly rolled himself on top of me, looking down into my eyes. I stared up at him, admiring his soft, beautiful eyes. He placed his forehead to mine and whispered that he loved me. My heart filled with joy and my stomach filled with butterflies.
"I-I love you too." I stuttered.
He giggled and leaned down to place his lips on mine. This was the first time I had ever been in love.
"Theo!"
I jumped up. Was that Liam? Is he alive?
"Liam is that you!? Where are you?!" I cried.
"Theo!"
I followed the recognisable voice, running fast in desperate need to find him. It can't be over yet. I shouldn't give up so quickly.
*
Then I found him.
*
He was standing in the middle of the lacrosse pitch, the lights glaring down on him. I ran over to him, screaming his name, my eyes leaking with joy. He saw me and his face lit up with his gorgeous smile. But suddenly, his face turned into a worried mask, as he fell to the ground.
"No!" I screamed, as I just managed to catch him in my arms. His head was sitting in my lap, looking up at me. I looked down, and saw that he was bleeding, badly. I got out my phone and desperately dialled Melissa's number, but soon discovered there was no service out here. I slammed my phone to ground, yelling with frustration.
"I-It's okay." Liam whispered, with a tear pouring down his cheek.
"No, it's not okay!" I yelled, while my face flooded with tears.
"I can't loose you!"
"P-promise me you will take care of yourself okay?"
"No! I-I can't! I need you! I love you! T-this is not alright! Don't leave me!"
"I-I wouldn't dream of leaving you."
"Then don't! Stay the fuck with me!"
"I love y-"
And then he was gone.
I leaned down and kissed him for the last time and closed his eyes slowly while my face scrunched up as a million tears streamed down my face. I picked him up to carry him to the hospital, but I kept stumbling as I relived all my memories of him, crying with each and everyone. I would never see his gorgeous smile which lit up the room ever again. I would never see the way he looked at me with his loved-up eyes ever again. I would never see his beautiful eyes, filled with life and love and happiness ever again. And lastly, I would never be able to hear him say he loves me ever, ever again.
He was gone.
