Rahul has always kept his spirits high and indulged himself in all possible arenas. He lost his vision at the age of 3 due to certain medical reactions in the eye. Despite consistent failures in his operations his parents did not give up and decided to bring him up as any other child around them. He went to a special school for the blind as a young boy after which he joined St. Xavier's College Mumbai. He initially found it slightly tough to accept his disability but eventually with the elapse of time he essentially gathered strength from every ounce of his conviction to lead life like any other sighted person. His interest lies in the subject of sociology and economics and is currently pursuing his final Year in College. He has left no stones unturned as he scored the highest rank in his SSE exams. He has also got opportunities to showcase his talents like playing the grand piano in prestigious institutions like NCPA leaving the audience inspired. His parents have been the greatest support systems. They ensured that the lack of any one senses did not make any difference in him pursuing what he wished to in the field of academics as well as extra-curricular activities. He is very actively involved in sports, and music is his very close companion. He mentions he has no regrets in life and this positive attitude allows him to make the best out of everything that comes his way. He believes that the feeling of being included makes people like him happy and satisfied. The positive nature of the community around him motivates him to not let his impairment stop him from achieving extraordinary goals. He strongly believes in himself and this allows him to aim for success in every task he performs. He has made himself and his family proud by performing at the best of his abilities. He is very optimistic about his future endeavors as he has immense faith in himself to be able to carry out each activity with great dedication and commitment.Quoting Visionary Gajjal - "There are many things you have to prove to the world, maybe today is a bad day, but the game is never over until you win"
