"Mom I want to be a doctor!"
I said when I was 7.
"Mom I want to be a doctor."
I said when I was 17.
In a world full of opportunities I chose this.
I could've been an artist, a geographer, a presenter.
But what good will they do in today's society?
We earn twice as much,
but in exchange for freedom.
We can never be truly happy.
No amount of riches or power can satisfy the hole in our hearts.
Our Dream.
Torn by the fabrics of society,
Paved by the generations above,
In a world where reality dominates fantasy,
Our path ahead is hazy.
We don't know what's wrong and what's right.
But what we do know is what society thought us.
Go to school. Study Well. Get a job.
"Ok mom I'm off to school"
Be what you want, but can we really?
It's funny how they say to children,
"Follow your dreams..."
How can I follow a dream,
If I never had one to begin with?
