At The End of The World [2]

[1] After Two Months...

"Two months..."

Survivors walk into the salamander's building. The salamander group -- survivors both human and cyborg, leadered by a witch called Brook, a 12 year old boy who looks older and is good at weapons and skills. He was "kidnapped" by Patty and Drake whom leadered the salamander group before but after seeing how good he was, they turned him into the leader.

Patty, on her own, she captured Aroeht. An upgraded cyborg woman who (if she united with Brook) could help in finding survivors more quickly.

"Two months. Nothing bad has happened. We have gathered survivors... We have made a new home."

Brook says, laying on the roof of a house and Drake laying beside him as both look at the moon with small smiles.

"Yeah but I don't know, man. It is too quiet. Too safe."

"Drake."

"Mm?"

"We will be alright."

Brook says and Drake nods. But then the stars start to fall and both frowned.

"Make a wish?" Drake asked.

"You wish."

But a star fell beside Brook's body sparkling like if it was about to explode. "Lock out!" Brook yelled and climbed Drake's body to protect him and the star exploded and Drake grabbed his back as Brook covered his head with his arms and head.

Brook lifted his head and both looked at the star. "Okay, no wishes. Definitrly not wishes!"

"Agreed!"

Brook yelled with a nod and more started to fall so they rolled on the roof, skipping every one of them but they fell off the roof with screams and hit the ground with Brook falling on his back and Drake falling on his chest.

Both groaned but Brook's groan was louder. Drake lifted his head and looked down at him.

"Are you okay?"

"I might have broken my back."

"WHAT?!"

"Sorry. I suppose I shouldn't joke about that. Bad timing."

"Noooo!" Drake yelled all dramatical and rubbing his cheek against Brook's cheek and hugging him tightly.  "I would die if you die and I would kill you in the afterlife!" He yelled. "Do you understand me, Brookie - Boo?"

"Ew."

Brook said and the two of them heard the doors of the building open so they looked behind them. Aroeht and the girls were out, looking around till they saw them.

"Did you guys heard that?" Aroeht asked.

"And... Why are you two like that?" Patty said and Ellis bursted into a laugh but covered her own mouth to not sound.

Brook and Drake give nervous smiles but everyone hears the sound of some strong air going down from the dark sky so everyone looks up with frowns and wondering what's that huge and gray plate that's falling to the ground. "Everyone, LOCK OUT!" Tom yells while getting out of the building and throwing himself to the ground along with the girls and everyone protects their heads with their hands and they groan but the plate hits the ground making the earth shake and everyone to scream (mostly the girls). Everyone in the building was groaning and hiding under the tables but even the knives of the kitchen swung to the people at the living room like art of magic and people screamed but the knives were luckily stopped, some of the cyborg woman left grabbed the knives before they could hit some people.

Those people opened their eyes and sighed, smiling with their lips and pleased that the cyborg woman had saved them.

The earth stopped shaking and the sound of the biggest thud of the plate's fall stopped. Tom and everyone stopped covering their heads and he asked the girls if they were okay and they all just nodded. Drake  asked Brook if he was okay and Brook nodded his head.

"Why would the knives come flying?" One cyborg woman asked to the other. The other one opened her mouth to say something but then her head exploded and the survivors gasped. The cyborg woman gasped and looked behind her at her cyborg woman companions and several parts of their bodies exploded and the cyborg woman's arm exploded so she screamed.

Ellis's neck twisted to a side so she screamed and Karen's leg broke and twisted to a side so she screamed in pain. Tom frowned. "WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING?" He asked and looked behind him at the stranger plate that had fallen from the dark sky.

"It's the sky's plate. It is absorbing their metal functions and pulling them. We have to stop that thing before it is too late!" Tom said and Aroeht's back broke so she arched her chest and screamed.

Brook and Drake stood up, holding hands and calling Aroeht's name. Patty stood up. "Brook, take care of the girls! We are going to stop that thing!" Patty yelled and she ran with Tom and Drake away.

Aroeht and the girls were groaning but Brook knelt in front of them and just pet Aroeht's head sides and he looked up.

~Guys... Please be careful.~ 

Brook thought. 

Patty and Tom and Drake ran to the stranger plate and Brook stopped a few inches away and aimed with his palms at the plate. "You guys might want to cover your ears." He said and Drake covered Patty's ears. She frowned.

"Uh... Drake?"

"Yes, Patty?"

"We're supposed to cover each other's ears."

"Put your hands on my ears then."

"You're so stubborn."

"You love that."

"Shut up."

She said and covered his ears with her hands and both closed their eyes and Tom chanted a spell in very loud words as a green ball formed in front of his palms and he threw it forward with a warrior scream and the ball hit the plate so it exploded. Brook gasped and looked up, very worried.

"B-- Brook..." Aroeht whispered and Brook looked down at her. 

"Is okay -- is okay. Just... just, don't talk. Don't talk. Don't lose strength, Ary."

"Ary? ...Is that the best nickname you can give... me?"

"No, my lady."

He said and she smiled with her lips and closed her eyes with a sigh. Brook smiled with his lips but looked up with two tears falling down his eyes.

Tom had made the plate's outside explode so now they had to go inside. "Are you all ready?" Tom asked, looking behind him at Patty and Drake whom nodded and Tom nodded and they walked to get inside the plate.
