Grant searched the castle for Cora. He needed someone to talk to. Even though he didn't know her for long he felt as if he had known her throughout his whole life. Grant knew that this was silly, but she was the only one around. "Cora" Grant called as he looked through the library. Cora's head popped out from behind a bookshelf. "Hi Grant, how are you?" "Good, I was wondering if we could talk."" Sure. What is it about?"" Cora look I know I have only known you for a short period of time, but no one else will listen to me. I am having a hard time dealing with my mothers death" Grant admitted as he looked at the ground." My mother and father died when I was young so I know what you are going through. How about we meet in the lower sector tomorrow at 6. I know a great restaurant for commoners that I went to as a young child. We can talk more there."" Sure"Grant replied. " I would love that. See you tomorrow at 6" He said as he skipped out of the library maybe he wouldn't be so lonely after all. Grant looked at the hall clock. Oops! Grant was going to be late for dinner. Be quickly sprinted down the halls to the dining room.

No ones pov

Some where in the shadows of the castle a voice said "the deed is done. A success will come to us tomorrow."

Anderson
After searching for Grant for about 30 minutes he gave up. Anderson sat at the head of the dinner table waiting for his brother. About an hour passed before Anderson grew angry. Dinner was really the only time he would get to see his brother and his brother hadn't even showed up yet. Soon enough Grant came running in the dinning room red faced and out of breath. "Sit down" Anderson said as he gestured to the chair across from him. Grant sat down and started filling his plate. The roast beef and mashed Potatoes were cold, but neither of the boys complained. They both ate in awkward silence until Anderson spoke up. "Why were you almost 2 hours late?" Anderson asked in an irritated way. "Well, umm, you see I met this girl. Her name is Cora and she is Oliver's sister. She is really nice and pretty and around 5:30 I decided to go look for her because I wanted to talk to her. I found her in the library and we talked for a little bit. After our talk I saw the clock in the hall and realized that I was late and then I sprinted here." Grant said between bites of his food. Anderson pursed his lips. Grant was late because of a girl. A person he had just met today. "You were late because of a stranger." Anderson said. "I am your king Grant you can't be hours late to a dinner with your king and expect it to end well." Grant looked at his brother and stood up." You were my brother long before you were my king. It's only your first day and you are acting as arrogant as ever. How can you be so heartless about me wanting to meet with others. All the people I care about are gone Anderson , including you." Grant yelled as he looked Anderson dead in the eyes. Anderson listened to Grant and then fired back at him. " You aren't even my real brother and you know that. You were adopted by my mother out of pity. You were found in a river as a baby. It looked as if your real parents were trying to drown you. My mother never loved you and your biological mother didn't either." Anderson  said as he stood up as well. Grant heard every word and his eyes got misty. Grant threw the chair across the room and stormed out. Anderson sat down and slumped in his chair. What have I done Anderson thought. Grant's past was a touchy subject for him. Grant knew he was adopted, but he love his adopted parents like they were his own. Anderson realized that he had probably just ruined their brotherly relationship. How was he supposed to raise Grant if he can't even talk to him.
Anderson cleaned up the dining hall and went to bed. He would have to apologize at dinner tomorrow.

Oliver
Oliver and everyone else left about an hour ago. The trip was about a days journey. The sorcerers lived in their own "kingdom". They are more like a tribe though. Oliver had never met a sorcerer in his life and didn't know what to expect. As the caption of the hairs Oliver wondered if he should've stayed at the castle in case of any attack, but Anderson assured him that they would be fine for three days. He was also worried about Cora. Cora had a knack for getting in trouble and without Oliver there no one could stop her. Oliver hopes his sister would be carful while he was away. They neared a clearing on the path. Oliver got off his horse and looked around this would be a good place to camp for a few hours. The sun was already setting so they stopped and got ready for bed. Three men took watch at a time. Oliver settled down to fall asleep for a few hours before they had to go meet the sorcerers. Goodnight Cora he whispered while looking at the stars.
