Both men were nervous as they sat out in the parking lot of Kirstie's apartment. Mitch was nervous because either one of them could tell his secret. Scott was nervous because he was meeting the woman that made Mitch happy when he couldn’t. So many things could go wrong with both of them, and they were terrified to go in. Deciding it was time to go in, Mitch sighed and got out of the car, Scott following suit, before they walked to her door. Mitch nervously knocked, the door opening seconds later.
“Why the hell would you leave without a note and reachable phone, Mitchell?!” Kirstie began scolding, stopping when she noticed her friend's plus one. “Oh hey! You’re Scott! I am Kirstin, but I prefer Kirstie. Mitch told me so much about you.”
“I can say the same thing about you,” Scott returned with an awkward smile. “He came to discuss something, but he grew faint and his nose started bleeding. I don’t know why it happened, but he said he's okay.”
“I see,” Kirstie nodded, letting the men in. “Coby isn’t up yet, and I haven’t had time to make breakfast, so y'all can just have some cereal and I will make lunch later. I am thinking vegan grilled cheese with tomato basil soup and an almond milk smoothie for dessert.”
“That sounds great, Kit,” Mitch smiled, the two men going to the kitchen before Mitch made a bowl of cereal for both of them. “We’re having hibatchi tonight if you want to stick around.”
“Since I don’t have a girlfriend anymore,” Scott shrugged, “so I have nowhere else to be.”
“Single life is so much better anyways,” Mitch laughed. “You have the freedom to do whatever, and whomever, you want. It’s relieving.”
“I know this is probably a personal question,” Scott sighed, “but did you actually date Kirstie?”
“No,” Mitch shook his head, “but Coby IS mine.”
“Homophobic mother?” Scott raised an eyebrow, Mitch nodding shyly. “It was my dad. Went on one date with a guy, and my dad found out. He beat me to a fucking pulp. That’s where I was for a month. Then I came back, terrified of him. I don’t blame him for everything, though. I was eighteen and could make my own decisions. I chose to become an asshole.”
“That was seven years ago, Scotty,” Mitch reassured. “You can turn yourself around, Sweetie. You just need to do what makes you happy. Be bold, be spontaneous, and not afraid of who y…”
Then Scott’s lips were back on Mitch’s, the brunet unafraid to kiss back that time. They forgot about the cereal as Scott pushed the younger man against the empty kitchen island. Mitch hopped up, and wrapped his arms around the taller man as their lips continued to move to the rhythm of the music Kirstie was playing in her closed room. Scott pulled away and used one of his hands to pull the other man's head back, by his hair, and attacked Mitch’s neck, making him whine quietly.
“This isn’t the right place to do this… mmmm… in someone else’s house,” Mitch moaned out. “Take me to my bedroom.”
“Fine with me,” Scott growled, carrying the other man to the spare room and throwing him on the bed.
Mitch laid in one spot as the blond closed the door, going back over to the bed. He teasingly crawled up to the younger man, reattaching their lips once more. Scott pulled away, pulling at Mitch’s bottom lip with his teeth, before laying for both of them to catch their breaths. Scott’s lips moved back to the other man’s neck, roaming until he found that spot he was looking for,on Mitch’s jaw directly below the left ear. Mitch shuddered and moaned as the blond marked him as his own.Sexual tension and frustration filled the air as Scott pulled away, playing with the hem of Mitch’s hoodie. The blond took his time as he pulled the hoodie off of his roommate. He threw it to the side before discarding his own tank top. Mitch stared at the older man’s chest, perfectly toned and glistening with sweat, the muscles ending in a perfect V right above the waistband of his jeans. Mitch was desperate, and the impatient whimpers were all the proof Scott needed to grind his hips down against the younger man to tease him further.
