"Uh yeah. Boss already said he would kill me if I didn't come back with you."

Fell winced again, mentally beating himself up. That was a little too much. Although Papyrus could be violent, he would never kill his own brother.

Lust stared at his rougher double with too sharp eyelights, regarding him with an unblinking gaze.

The smaller skeleton's calculating gaze made Fell nervous. He knew that Lust knew that he was bluffing. It was obvious by the way he was looking at Fell.

But surprisingly, Lust looked down at the snow, wiping his tears away. "I'll go back with you." He said quietly. He raised his arms so that Fell could pick him up.

Sighing a breath of relief, Fell pulled his slimmer duplicate up, carrying him bridal-style. Lust squeezed his eye-sockets shut, a few tears still escaping. He pressed his face into Fell's sweater, not making a sound as his tail swished mournfully.

Fell teleported back to their house, walking through the front door.

"Sans? Did you find him?"

"Yeah. Here he is." Sans walked over to where Papyrus sat on the couch in their living room, handing Lust over to him.

Lust wrapped his arms around Papyrus's neck, shivering from the cold. "Oh, thank goodness! I was so worried!" Papyrus wrapped his arms around Lust's waist, pulling him to his ribcage.

He patted Lust's ears. "You look really cute in my sweater, little kitten. If you're good for the rest of the day, I'll let you keep it." Lust didn't say anything, his face still an emotionless mask. It was hard to tell if he was sad, angry, or just tired.

Papyrus sighed, leaning down to kiss Lust. Lust complied, returning the larger skeleton's affections. But as they kissed, Fell could see a single tear trace its way down the smooth surface of Lust's cheekbone.

Fell felt something eating away at the pit of his stomach. It was an uncomfortable feeling that he had never felt before. He couldn't put his finger on it, but the closest emotion he could relate it to was dread.

Watching Papyrus pull Lust closer, his fingers trailing down Lust's spine, he felt that emotion become stronger. It was becoming too uncomfortable for Fell to be there, so he left to go to his room.

As the night approached, the quiet air was suddenly pierced with Lust's cries and screams from Papyrus's room. As Lust's screams rose to a fervour pitch, Fell was finally able to put a name on the emotion he felt earlier.
