(The next day)
Lust waited fretfully, his tail flicking anxiously. He wasn't sure whether Fell would come today. Papyrus and Fell had already left for work, and he was alone in the house again. He sat on the edge of the bed, his legs dangling off the side.
He heard the sound of someone teleporting into the room. Looking up, he saw Fell seated at Papyrus's desk, the chair turned towards him.
"Hey Lust."
Lust flushed light purple. "I-I'm so sorry about yesterday. I don't know what came over me, I just-"
Fell raised his hand, cutting Lust off. "It's ok, I knew you were in heat."
Lust glanced back at him, his face still flushed in mortification. "Wh-What? Why didn't you leave then?"
Fell paused, his face becoming an unreadable mask again. "I.. don't know."
Lust turned his head away, his face still burning shamefully. "It doesn't matter. I-I shouldn't have forced myself on you like that. I-I'm a horrible person.."
Suddenly, Fell was standing right in front of Lust. Lust looked up, wide-eyed. Fell was standing right between his legs, which were dangling off the side of the bed. He swallowed, nervous at the sudden proximity.
Fell knelt until he was face to face with the smaller skeleton's purple eyelights. Lust stared back at Fell's intense expression, his purple blush darkening as he trembled slightly.
"You're not a horrible person." Fell said quietly. He brought his arms around Lust, pulling him to his ribcage. Lust trembled in his embrace.
He sat there, his breathing shaky, afraid of what Fell would do to him. Afraid to trust. How could he, after everything he had gone through?
But there was something different about Fell. He wasn't the same monster he'd met near the Snowdin forests when he first arrived to UnderFell. Lust found himself returning Fell's embrace, his trembling subsiding.
"Red.."
Fell shivered as Lust breathed the name softly. He tightened his hold on Lust, bringing him closer.
They stayed like that, content in their safe, little embrace. Eventually, Fell let go, looking back at his softer duplicate.
Lust's gaze was fractured, broken after being under Papyrus's will for so long. He had endured so much when he had done nothing wrong. He was the only good thing in UnderFell. Lust was so broken, almost to the point beyond repair.
But as Fell looked at Lust, he could see a glimmer of hope in those purple eyelights. Perhaps he had finally found someone in this hopeless world who he could actually trust. If not as a saviour, then at least as a confidante.
Fell got up without a word, placing a kiss on Lust's forehead. He smiled gently before turning and teleporting away.
