"Mike!"
I run up to him and hug him tightly. We then kiss like we always do when we see eachother. When we finish I look up at him and say,
"I missed you."
"I was only gone for a few hours."
As we walk into the kitchen I say
"To me that's a lifetime and then some."
"Sweetheart if you miss me so much why don't you come to work with me."
"Dear, I love you so much but there are two things I have to take care of at home."
"Ah yes, how are the twins?"
"There fine I guess, would you like some coffee?"
"Yes please, what do you mean you guess."
"Well," I slowly put the water on," It's just Dorothy I'm worried about her."
"Did she say she wanted to quit again?"
"No it's just that I just don't want her to hate me for making her do something she dosen't want to do."
"Shirley you're a great mother no child could hate you."
"Thanks, but still."
"Hey," he motions me over to sit on his lap," It will be okay."
"Do you think so?"
"I know so."
the water begins to boil and I grab a cup and some coffee. I pour the water, stir, and hand it back to Mike.
"Well, I should get dressed I have some errands to run."
"Can I come with?"
"Sure."
I run up the stairs take a quick shower, put my hair up, and change into a simple black tee and some jeans in a matter of 10 minutes. I put on my new favorite black flats and run downstairs to see Mike still drinking his coffee.
"Wow, I thought you'd take longer."
I laugh a little and ask,
"Can we go now honey?"
He places his cup down and teasingly says,
"So impatient."
We quickly get in the car and soon we are driving.
"So where do we need to go?"
"Well, there's the grocery, then Dorothy needs a new dress for a dance and Wayne needs a tie for the same dance."
"Wait, we get to shop for ties?"
"Yes, Mike."
"Yes!"
"Mike it's not for you."
"Please Shirley we haven't played the game in months."
We stop at a stoplight and he flashes me his amazing sparkling smile that I just can't resist. I swear sometimes he can be just like his 15 year old self. I cave and say,
"Sure."
"Yes!"
We drive on. After a few short minutes we arrive at the grocery store.
"Okay if we can get the shopping done in 10 minutes we can play."
"But you said..."
"Tick tock, here's the list."
"I swear if I wasn't crazy about you."
He smirks and runs off 6 minutes go by and I see him with all of the groceries. Quickly he pays and avoids the screams. He then quickly says thanks and we are soon driving again.
