“HEY! Are you okay?”
“I don’t know.”
I try to stand, but I just fall right back down. I let out a noise of pain, and I shake my head starting to cry. He steps up to me and grabs my waist helping me up.
"Shh, come on now. I got you."
He walks me over to guys sitting me next to him. I know that I’m blushing, I can feel my cheeks burning. I put my head down embarrassed. That's not the real reason why, I didn't want them to see me cry. I sniffle and look up to see that they stopped to turn to me. Cameron was the first to speak.
“So Hayes, who’s this pretty girl you just brought over here? She looks upset.”
“Actually I don’t know. I saw her fall and hurt herself.”
He looks over to me.
“Hey, I know it hurts, but please stop crying. It's making me sad to see such a cutie cry."
He wipes away my tears.
"So, what is your name?”
“Stephanie..”
“Well that’s a cute name for a cute girl.”
I feel my cheeks burn again. So I look away. He stands up and walks in front of me. I just now notice that he’s in his swim suit. He makes me look at him by bending over and turning my face.
“Hey, no need to feel embarrassed. It’s cute when you blush. I’m Hayes.”
“I-I know..”
“Oh so you know who we all are?”
“Yeah your Hayes, Nash, Cameron, Matthew, and JC.”
Nash walks over to Hayes, resting on arm on his shoulder.
“Well I guess you are a fan of ours?”
I nod my head.
“Well, I guess that I don’t have to say my name then. Though, how old are you Miss Stephanie.”
“I-I’m thirteen.” I say still not able to speak well.
“Oh Hayes!” He whispers something in his ear that I can’t make out, but it probably annoyed him because Hayes punched Nash in the arm. Cameron then walks over and says.
“Yeah Hayes, why don’t you ask the little lady.”
All the boys started throwing oh’s and things like that. I’m confused, until I see Hayes. HE’S BLUSHING! I then realize that he must like me or something. Although I’m already blushing, I feel my cheeks get even hotter. Matthew notices it.
“OH, I think she knows what is going on! She’s blushing even more.”
I look down, embarrassed, but I feel someone sit next to me. Then I feel arms go around me, and into a hug. I look over and it’s Hayes. He’s looking right at me when he whispers in my ear.
“You’re really cute, and I like you. Wanna be my girlfriend?”
I try to speak, but instead just give a nod. I’m trying not to cry because I’m so happy.
“Really? YES!”
He stands up. He then sits on the ground, and he pulls me onto his shoulders. I almost fall, but he catches me.
“So, Stephanie… who did you come with.”
“I came with my mom, sister, and cousins.”
“Where are they?”
