Summer Vacation Suprise

Part 5

“Oh, sorry guys, I was on break. I’ll take the fan away.”

“No, no she’s fine. She’s Hayes new girlfriend.”

The man smiles, and leads us along. I can see all the fans screaming their names. We discuss that I don’t want to go on stage today because I’m scared. So when we get there I stay behind at the hallway. They announce everyone, and before Hayes leaves he kisses me. They’re all at their signing for a while. I see my mom, my sister, and cousins. I ask the guard if my family could come over here, and he said it was fine. I go to get them. I tell them where to come with me, and just as I get to them… I hear Connor say.

“HEY MAGCON! Hayes got himself a girl!”

I can’t believe it. They said they wouldn’t. The crowd screams so loud that my ears hurt. Connor jumps off stage, and runs around trying to find me. He picks me up so I can’t run away, and brings me on stage.

“This is Stephanie. She’s Hayes girlfriend!”

The crowd starts screaming my name. I am so shocked, that they are excited to see me. I walk over to Hayes. He hugs me, and the crowd goes wild. He takes a mic.

“So babe, do you have anything to say to me?”

“U-uh, yeah.”

I kiss him on the cheek. He smiles as the crowd screams, and he full on kisses me on my lips. We stand there, until the crowd settles down, and we go on with the show. About half way through the show, Shawn asks if I have a talent. I say that I like to sing. So he gives me the mic, and I sing Royals by Lorde.

            After the first day of the show, I was so shaken because it was crazy. I took pictures with their fans, which are also now my fans, just because I’m with Hayes. It was amazing. We all went out to eat. I’ve never had starbucks before, so when he asked what you want I say that I’ve never had it. So he just gets me something that he thinks I would like. It was really good. We walk outside, and head to the beach. We are walking in the sand for a while. He grabs my hand, and he starts to talk to me.

“So… we’ve been together for two days now. I really like you, you’re not like most girls these days… being all fake and stuff. You are natural, cool, fun.” He steps in front of me, stopping me in my tracks.

“You’re not the way people describe you. Everyone keeps saying, oh he’s famous, he doesn’t like normal people. I never believed them. I saw deeper than that.

“Stephanie… I love you.”

“A… I love you too.”

He grabs my face and kisses me. My mom texts me after a few minutes of kissing.

“We got to head back to the hotel. My mom said she’s coming to get me, so we can go out to dinner.”

“Awe, I don’t want you to leave.” He wraps his arms around me.

“I can ask if you can go.”

“No, it’s for you and your family. Let’s get you back.”

“Fine, just know that you are part of the family.”

We get back to the hotel, and I change into nicer clothes, yet still wearing one of my hoodies. They were a gift, and I want to wear them as much as possible. My mom gets there a few minutes later. We head out.

            We get to the restaurant soon. My cousin’s and my sister met us there. It’s a cute little pizzeria. We order two large cheese pizzas, and some salad. We eat, and catch up, knowing I wasn’t hanging around them for the first two days. They had gone to the beach another time, they went to the little zoo at the everglades, and they went to Magcon. JP was the first one to bring up Hayes.

“So, he’s your boyfriend now huh? Haha.”

“Yes, he is. Got a problem?”

My mom responds to that.

“Yes, I do. I still think you’re too young for a boyfriend Steff.”

“But Ma, I really like him! He treats me really nice, and he bought me this!”I point to my hoodie. “Also two others, and flowers. Ma please?”

“Fine… if your happy I’m happy. Just know this, I only let you stay there, because you’re not alone with him.”

“Okay mom, just as long as I can still date him.”

            We finish dinner, and we head back home. On the car ride back I text Hayes. We were talking about how we would see each other when I leave after Magcon. He tells me that he will buy me a plane ticket every time, and sometimes to come see him. I feel really happy.

            When we get back to the house, JP and I play video games, while Jenna and Becky play with dolls. There’s a knock on the door. My mom calls me to come there. I walk in to see Hayes.

“Hey! What are you doing here?” I run over and hug him.

“I brought you your hoodies and the flowers.”

“Awe thank you. Hey you wanna stay for a while, and meet everyone.”

“Sure.”

            I walk into JP’s room with Hayes right behind me. JP looks up from his game. When he pauses it he stands up. He walks over to Hayes and begins the conversation.

“I’m JP, Stephanie’s older cousin.”

“I’m Hayes. I make vines.”

“I know. So what’s up.”

“I just came by to give Steff her presents.”

“Oh okay, well nice to meet you.”

He sits back down at his game. I bring Hayes to Jenna’s room.

“Hey Becky, hey Jenna, meet Hayes.”

Becky looks up and her eyes go wide.

“U-uh h-h-hi.”

“Nice to meet you. You look a lot like your sister.”

“Uh…”

He whispers in my ear.

“I think she’s nervous about me.”

“Yeah I guess. Bye guys… wait Becky have you seen my new phone case.

“It should be in your bag.”

I walk out and check.

“Okay it’s there Hayes. Look! I got it designed with our initials.”

“Yeah, for now it’s SL and HG. But later on… it’ll be SG and HG.”

I blush and smile. He takes my hand and leads me outside. We sit on the porch until the sun goes down. I tell him I’m going to go back to the hotel with him. I run inside to tell my mom goodbye, and give her a kiss.

“Love you ma.”

“Love you too. Have a nice time.”

“I WILL!”

I go grab my hoodies, and I’m out the door. Hayes takes my hand, and we walk back.
