Chapter 5 Tragedy in the Elevator

Cadence's POV

I passed my files to my director's table and I thought of going home to take a bath because it's still too early. It's still dawn. Yeah, I know, I stink because my outfit is the one I wore since yesterday so that's why I'm going back home to change and take a bath. I went to take the elevator which is near our department. And this elevator is taking too long.

Then I heard a *Ding* which is the sound of the elevator. I went inside and press the button to the ground floor but just as the door is about to close, a man went inside too.

I took a single glance of the man and I saw Jace standing and being very hot. I shook my head because  it's strange but the word "hot" just past through my mind when I described Jace, it's not wrong though. 'Cause I am just stating the facts here. He has an elegant and handsome look on his face like Albert, he has a muscular body... oh! But I didn't look or saw his bare body, Ok!! It's just..... you can see it even when he's in suit and tie.

Now back to Earth Cadence! I shook my head again 'cause the thought of Jace and Albert are still on my mind. After forgetting about those I noticed that the elevator has been so quiet because no one wanted to speak. After a little while, I was the one who broke the silence because I was the first who spoke of course!

"Uhmm....... Jace?" "Yeah?" "What floor are you going to?" "Hmm... what floor are you going to, first?!" "The ground floor, you?" "Ohh!! What a coincidence!!I'm also going to the ground floor!!!" He replied. Really?!! Is it really a coincidence? I'm not quite convinced yet.

Because a part of me wanted to deny that it was just a coincidence that I met Jace here at the same time, while another part of me enjoys it! Why am I so weird? Cause you are weird! See! My mind is arguing with me! Uhhh..... Why do I have such a strange mind?

Jace's POV

I was still at Cadence's department waiting her. After a little while, she hasn't still came back. So I thought of going outside to wait her there but then I saw her walking towards an elevator. So I run towards it before it closes. While inside the elevator Cadence seems like she's having a trouble she keeps shaking her head. But still she looks cute.

After a while she asked me something "Uhmm....... Jace?" "Yeah?" "What floor are you going to?" Wait! What floor am I going?!!! Whatever I'll just go where Cadence is going. So I just replied her with a "Hmm... what floor are you going to, first?!" But of course! My top priority is to be with Cadence much more longer.

So I lied, I'm sorry Cadence. But I wanted to spend more time with you "The ground floor, you?" So, she's going to the ground floor. Huh? I just pretend I'm going to the ground floor too "Ohh!! What a coincidence!! I'm also going to the ground floor!!!" She doesn't seem to be convinced but a little while the elevator stop. It was a blackout.

"Kyahhhh!!!!!!" Cadence shouted. Hearing her scream I got my phone and opened the flashlight. I saw her sitting down hugging her legs while.......... crying. Seeing her cry makes my heart break. So I went to sit beside her. I sat beside her and she suddenly hugged me leaving me shock and my phone on the floor with a crack on the screen, I guess.

I have put a screen protector so the screen protector was the one with a crack. But even if it's cracked, the phone is still shining light through the flashlight. "J-Jace?" She said. I could feel that she's trembling. "Don't leave me" my heart skipped and almost stopped when Cadence said that. As she said those words she tighten the hug so I hugged her back and caressed her back.

Cadence's POV

"Kyahhhh!!!!!!" I screamed. I never liked the darkness, it's so creepy and I hate it!! I hugged Jace due to the fear. "J-Jace?" "Don't leave me" I said still trembling so I tighten the hug on Jace's broad and wide back. He then hug me back and caressed my back. I was able to calm down...... just a little due to Jace's body heat and the caressing on my back. I don't know but Jace's heat and the caressing is quite relaxing.
