Harry's POV
Training for the day had just ended and Harry was getting ready for a much-needed shower when the video chat app on his computer started ringing. He knew he wasn't supposed to Uma until before bed so it probably wasn't her. She would never contact him unplanned unless it was an emergency. Harry checked to see who it was just in case it was his queen, his heart dropping and his mind going to the worst possible places when he saw Evie's name come up instead of hers. Worried that something had happened to Uma Harry hurriedly answered. The daughter of the Evil Queen's face had barely shown up on the screen when he was asking "What's wrong? Is Uma okay?" his fear apparent in his voice.
Evie had put a hand up to calm him through the screen "Calm down, she's fine." she said and Harry could feel his tense body relax a little bit. Now that he knew his one and only was alright he asked "What is it then?" not trying to sound impatient but wondering the reason she was calling. Evie wasted no time in answering him "I went with Uma to look at possible homes for her." she said gaining Harry's undivided attention now, he knew how important it was for Uma to find somewhere of her own for after graduation. She didn't want to live on the University campus. "She wasn't crazy about the apartments but there was one house that she loved," she paused and Harry could sense a but coming "But it was a little out of her price range." Harry's heart sank again, he knew Uma. It wasn't often that she fell 'in love' with something, but when she did then it was usually the right fit for her.
"I was go-" Evie started to say but Harry cut her off "How much are they asking?" he asked and Evie grinned "I was going to see if you could help her." she admitted, sounding happy that they were on the same page, before pulling a few sheets of paper out of her bag and looking at it "They want 115,000 for it, rent to own, and the owner says that she'd be willing to take 650 a month until it's paid off." Harry thought the asking price was a bit much but for once he wasn't worried about money, for once in his life he'd be able to give the woman he loved what she wanted. He'd give the shirt off of his back if he had to. Without giving it any more of a thought Harry told Evie "Give her my number and send me the information," and with a big smile she nodded and told him he would have it within the hour.
As Evie got ready to end their video call Harry added "Don't mention any of this to Uma. I want it to be a surprise when I get home." meaning it, he would literally hook someone if they told him before he had a chance. Pretending to zip her lips and lock it Evie agreed before telling him goodbye and ending the call. Harry decided to take a minute to text his sisters and Uma before heading down to eat. He had barely walked away from his computer when his email notification went off. Knowing it was probably from Evie he checked it to see what everything looked like and whether it was worth the asking price. Before he got the chance to look at everything the messenger for facechat pinged. It was a message from Jay that said 'In a week and a half we're going home.'
In that moment everything else was forgotten. He was going home, he would get to see her...
Author's note: So this one had to be cut short and again it took me a while to get it out. I'm so sorry about that. It's hard for me to get on lately. Life has started to slow down a little but I still have quite a bit going on at the moment. Thank you everyone for being patient.
Still love you all, Tay
