Lie on your back, and close your eyes.
Make sure it's quiet, make sure there are no sounds, other than the distance chirp of birds.
Go outside, that might be the best.
And imagine.
You are lying on the ground, on soft grass, on your back.
A soft, cool wind blows. A breeze, light and airy.
Slow your breathing.
Stretch out your arms and allow yourself to breath clearly.
You can hear a bird chirp, somewhere not far off. A warbling sound, full of life.
A few more answer, and as you listen, you can here many more- a burst of short chirrups and a hymn of whistles.
Breathe in and out.
Keep your eyes closed.
As the wind picks up slightly, you open your eyes and look directly up. All you see are the green shapes of leaves, gently rustling and swaying. You can see darts of blue sky and sunlight through the green. You can here the swish of the leaves.
The sound gets louder, then drops back down as the breeze fades. You can feel it, and it is cool.
It gets louder again, the rustling and swaying, then drops down.
Breathe, and stretch out your arms further, above your head. The rustling continues it's waves as you breathe.
You can still here the birds chirrup in reply to one another, and you can also hear a very faint trickle of water from a creek far away.
But as you listen, you realise it is a waterfall in the distance, bubbling and pattering and shimmering, making a noise a little like the trees, but constant, and full of power and beauty.
Breathe.
Lose yourself in this place. See the sparkle of the sun through the trees. Hear the birds. Remember the waterfall, and the cool breeze swishing green leaves.
Breathe.
