Narrators's Point of View
"Imma fucking kill him!" Tristan screamed out in the hills as the anger inside of him coursed through his veins to almost to the point of the physical pain and it was all aimed at one person, Chase Harper.
Arianna had just finished revealing the events of her trip to Tristan. She told him EVERYTHING. Her fight with her parents about leaving him, dinner with the Harpers, and finally she told him the full story as to why Chase's help was needed in the first place and how she had a pretty sure theory that Chase switched up Monica's results on purpose.
He was sure the only thing holding him together and from running off to pummel Chase's face and commit tons of bodily harm was Arianna. Through everything she was always constant, for some reason her presence always held him together even when he wanted to break down and give up.
The way she looked at him with her slanted chinky dark brown eyes with so much love and admiration it did something within Tristan that he didn't understand. His heart was never at a steady pace when she was around simply because her presence no matter how long they'd been together always excited him and made him happy.
She made him wanted to the best man he could because she deserved it.
But right now Tristan tried his best not to dare look into Arianna' eyes because he knew his resolve would weaken and Chase Harper had to be stopped. He'd hurt one person he loved to the core now he was coming at the woman he loved like no other and placed two of his dearest friends in bad grieving place out of spite.
He had to be stopped and he was going to be the one to stop him.
Arianna watched as Tristan paced back and forth fuming mad and didn't even know where to begin to calm him down. When Tristan was like this, she was always at a lost because he was normally so happy.
But she knew she had to woman up or she could possibly lose Tristan tonight.
"Tristan you have to calm down" Arianna found herself walking towards him before taking his hands into hers trying to get him to look at her face.
This is what she was afraid of, that Tristan would get so mad he wouldn't even be able contain his anger or think clearly. She knew from the emotions he'd shared with her and his reactions that he was going into that dark place thinking about Chase. She had to find a way to distract him or get him to think rationally. After all, she felt partly responsible for all of this.
She was the one who brought Chase back into Tristan's world.
She was the one who asked Chase to help Monica with her pregnancy test.
She was the constant in all of Chase's recent betrayals and wrong doings to the people she loved and called family.
He was interested in her for a reason she didn't understand because as far as she knew she didn't give him any signals that she had any interest in him. She tried to make it clear to Chase and any other man who approached her that she was taken and her heart belonged to Tristan Xavier Hill. No one could take his place because he owned her heart.
"We can call the cops babe maybe they will be able to do something" Arianna tried to persuade Tristan but she knew for a fact the cops probably couldn't do anything because they had no proof.
Monica's pregnancy test was supposed to be off the record, so no one knew about the possibly of her being pregnant. There were no records. It would only be their word against Chase's, which wouldn't be much because all of this could be flipped as revenge because Tristan simply didn't like Chase. The police would have no records of why Tristan had a vendetta against Chase because Harmony's rape was never properly documented.
"The cops, Arianna?? What the hell will the cops do, huh? Nothing. All his parents will do is shell out more money, donate another clinic or library then BOOM! Everything is forgiven, I tried to go this route before Arianna. Cops won't protect us but I will! I can't allow him to walk around hurting the people I love. I can't and I won't!" he shouted back snatching away from her before taking off the down the pathway of the hill hurriedly.
"Tristan, wait!" she took off after him leaving behind her phone and a few other belongings but they were the least of her worries right now.
-----
Considering Tristan runs a 4.2, Arianna was only hoping to trail behind him so she could know where he was. But somewhere along the pathway she lost him and had no idea where he was.
Eventually she made her way out of the hills alone and partly tired but she had to find Tristan.
Thanking God that she indeed decided to wear sneakers instead less comfortable shoes. She decided to look in the first place she could think of: his apartment.
Making her way to Tristan's apartment, Arianna had an unsettling feeling washing over her. Her stomach was in tights knots and she was scared. Not for herself but for Tristan.
What If he did find Chase and he wasn't alone, what if his anger only proved to hurt him and she ended up losing him for good.
What if he didn't find Chase, but someone else picked a fight with Tristan. She knew his temper was way pass it's breaking point and if someone so much and bumped into him there could be a problem.
She just needed to find him.
She made her way to the third floor approaching the door of Tristan's apartment, not stopping to look if anything was up out of the ordinary. She paid no mind to the fact the door was already unlocked even if she knew Tristan locked the door before they left.
Once she opened the door she wished she did because someone was inside she didn't want or need to see. Her night was already the worst it could be but this person was sure to make it worse.
"Alicia?"
Surprise! Two updates in a matter of days, that's kind of unheard of for me but I was feeling it and had some free time so here it is.
Another cliffhanger, but I just had to end it there. I'm thinking maybe two or three chapters left of this story so it's sad but the last couple of chapters all questions and suspicions will be answered.
I trying to imporve my writing so lately I've been trying to work on writing in third person so that's why this chapter isn't in one person's point of view.
I hope enjoyed, Be sure to Comment and Vote.
