"Hurry up! Your gonna be late for the blood test!" Yelled the boys mum, his name was Trent Boston and he was 15 years of age, all children aged from 13-18 had to take a blood test every year and the 30 people with the unhealthiest blood would compete in the death race. Trent thought he was pretty healthy and out of the hundreds and thousand of kids that were there he was almost certain that he wouldn't be one of the 30 unlucky people to have to compete. "ATTENTION ALL CHILDREN GATHERED HERE TODAY, WE ARE HERE FOR A VERY SPECIAL REASON THAT MOST OF YOU SHOULD KNOW OF ALREADY, THE 30 CHILDREN WITH THE UNHEALTHIEST BLOOD WOULD COMPETE IN THE RACE, AND NOW WE HAVE FOUND OUR WINNERS/ LOSERS TO BE EXACT" first up was Nickolas sickett , he looked to be about 16 or 17 years old and you could tell by his expression he was nervous just like everyone else in the crowd. 20 minutes later the man was already up to #20 and Trent was certain he wasn't gonna get it, but then on #22 the man yelled out Trent Boston," oh crap!" He thought in his head as he walked up to the front and lined up next to the 21 other competitors so far. Once they finished announcing the competitors they quickly rushed them inside the building without saying goodbye to any of their family, they got put in separate elevators and they flung straight up to the top of the building. They still had two days till they had to compete so they all started making friends even though they were gonna have to try and knock each other out later on. Trent first went up to a young looking boy who's name was timothy Joffen and he was 14 years old, they started having a conversation and soon became friends he also found a kid who was the youngest out of all the competitors he had only just turned 13 last week, his name was Lucas comer and he was with his friend who was the second youngest who was 13, 4 months ago his name was Justin fallon and was really big and strong for someone his age. It was 11:30 and still no one was asleep because of how nervous they were. 2:28am and everyone was asleep now but trent , all he could think about was the race and tactics on how to take people out, even though he didn't want to he had to if he wanted to survive. 4:53am and Trent finally fell asleep.
