I wake up in my lonely dormitory a week after arriving at Hogwarts. All of my griffendor friends are either boys or younger than me so we're not in the same room. I wonder why I set my alarm to wake me early, and then I remember. Quiddich tryouts. Our team last year consisted of no one I knew because the year before we lost Teddy and Dominique and Victoire because they finished their seventh year. I don't even remember the old team captains name. But now I'm team captain and I have to get up. I roll out of bed and pull on my quiddich robes. Then I stomp into the fifth year room.
"Lilly, up." I say and then move on. I go down to the great hall and see Scorpius and Al waiting for me. Scorpius grins and nudges Albus -who has his mouth full of toast- when he sees me. I plop down next to him.
"Hi Rosie Posie." Scorpius says. I scowl at Albus.
"I can't believe you told him my dad calls me that!" I tell him. Al shrugs. Scorpius laughs. I grab a pice of bread off of Al's plate and walk out onto the quiddich pitch. I see people standing around waiting to try out. And to my pleasure I see Lilly and Lucy. Lucy is my cousin and three years younger than me, making her a fourth year. I watch as one by one the griffendors try out, making notes here and there.
"Alright. You'll get results tomorrow." I say after a particularly terrible try out. The griffendors grumble and walk of the pitch. I sit on the ground putting my head in my hands.
"Rose." It is just a single word but it automatically makes me feel better. I take my head out of my hands to look at my friend.
"Scorpius." I say. He grins widely.
"Come with me." He says placing a blindfold across my eyes. I gladly follow him. We walk for what seems like a half an hour when I finally speak up.
"We are going to miss class!" I say. I hear Scorpius snicker.
"Says the girl who failed her O.W.Ls on purpose." He says.
"Yes but I retook them!" I say. Scorpius is silent for a moment.
"I'll take you back if you want." He says.
"No." I say quickly. "It's okay."
"Good, then open your eyes." Scorpius says taking off my blindfold.
It takes a moment for my eyes to adjust, but when they do I am dumbfounded at what I see.
"A lake?" I ask.
"Yup." Says Scorpius. Then he picks me up and throws me into the water.
"Ahhh!" I scream.
"I knew it! You can't swim can you!" Scorpius remarks.
"No! What's swim." I ask.
"You would think with you mother being a muggle born..." He mutters.

Later that night I lay in my bed with my thoughts swarming around in my head. Scorpius had taught me to swim, and though the water was ridiculously cold it was stress relieving. I smile to myself. Scorpius is a great friend. He's always there for Al and I. I make a deal to myself to do more muggle things. And then sleep washes over me.
