Chapter Four

Butch Point Of View:

I didn't know Buttercup could be so... Hot. I get up off the floor.

I clean up the tables, Brick and Boomer helped me, equally shocked.

The classroom was silent.

After Class (Schools Over)

It was after class the Powerpuff's are packing their stuff, I wanna talk to Buttercup.

"Yo, Buttercup..." I called out for her attention. She looked up, annoyed. Adorable. "I need to talk to you!" She sighed.

Blossom and Bubbles nodded walking out of the class.

"Bro, you know what your doing?" Brick asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Okay..." We were silent for a second. Suddenly I feel a slap on the back of my head. "Your stupid!"

"Hey," I looked up at Brick.

"Don't go easy on her just cause she's a girl!" Brick scolded.

"Whatever man," I glared at him. "She amuses me," I turn away.

"What?!"

"Butch! You coming or what?" I looked up at an impatient Buttercup.

"She loves me, heh." Brick gave me a 'really' look. "What?" I asked jokingly.

"Whatever, just don't fall for her... That would be stupid."

"Puh-les! (Please!)" I crossed my arms, and walked over to Buttercups desk.

"Okay, you have 5 minutes... Go," She started.

"How'd you get so good a fighting?"

"Really? Butch, I'm a Powerpuff," she said. "And your not the toughest enemy I've ever fought."

"Gee," I rolled my eyes. "You give them evil and they're never satisfied."

Buttercup let out a sudden laugh. Quickly she covered her mouth. "You laughed."

It was more of a chuckle-giggle- chorkel. It was freaking adorable.

"No," Buttercups cheeks turned a light shade of pink.

"Uh, yes. You think I'm funny."

"No! Shut up!" Her face was a crimson red.

"Why hide it?" I smiled. I took her hands within mine. "Your laugh is absolutely adorable," I told her.

Her face relaxed. A light blush remained on her cheeks. My eyes were set on her light green eyes, mine were only a bit darker.

We were alone, in the quiet classroom. Holding hands, it would be wrong, slowly I kissed her...

SO WRONG!! But felt right.

She kissed me back, so I got that going for me, her lips: so soft, I can taste her vanilla chapstick.

Everything just seemed to freeze.

Suddenly Buttercup pulled back.

"I..." She looked at me with sad eyes. Did I do something wrong...? "I-I have to go..." Quickly-effortlessly she grabbed her bag and ran out of the classroom.

Did... I... I thought for a second.

"Damit!" I said loudly. "Why did I do that?!"

Quickly I ran out, chasing Buttercup. Catching her passing the corner. "Buttercup wait!" I called out. She kept running almost at the exit. "Please!" She stopped slowly, the school was practically empty.

A locker slam was all I heard. Before everything went silent. Just us. In the hall.

Buttercup was beet red. Attempting to avirt eye contact. "Listen, Buttercup-" I took a step, she took a step back.

"Stay!" She yelled. "There..." She finished.

"Sorry," I breathed out. "I don't know why I did that..." I rubbed my arm. "It's not in my nature to just kiss a girl. Without a reason."

"Without a reason?" She repeated.

I took a silent step, attempting to nit startle her. She was fast. "She when you kissed me," she started. "You had a reason..?"

I went quiet for a minute. "I'm so confused..." She whispered, loud enough for me to hear.

"Why?" I asked.

"Did you hate it?" I asked. Why did I? It's such a stupid question-

"N-No..." My face instantly flushed red as I gazed up at her, light blush tinted her cheeks."-Thats why it confuses me..." She walked away.

I'm Smiling, why the heck am I smiling.
