Edgeworth stood there, shocked at what had just occurred.

What did I do to deserve that?

He placed a hand on his left cheek and thought once again.

Surely, she had a reason to do that. Was it because of how I acted towards her earlier?

Edgeworth shook his head and tutted as he began to pace back and forth, linking his interactions with the woman together.

She said that the slap was "for everything"... But that means that we must have encountered before... Although, I don't recall seeing her around in my recent life...

Edgeworth's movement stopped as he came to the only logical conclusion he could come up with.

"...(Y/N)" He breathed out your name.

"Shit..." he muttered as he continued pacing around your office once again.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, at this point in time, you were hiding in the toilet, trying to calm yourself down as much as you could.

"Shit, after this many years, I go and fuck up our reunion" you wailed as you held your head in your hands out of shame from your recent outburst. "But why did the red jerk have to be him of all people, this can't be real..."

You sigh in disbelief. "He's gotten quite hot though..." you mumbled to yourself in exasperation.

You sighed once again. "I really shouldn't be thinking of that right now, he's an asshole (Y/N), there's no point in getting attached to him just because of his looks" you scolded yourself, annoyed at where your train of thought was leading.

I suppose, I should get back...

With that thought you made your way to your feet and peeked out of the bathroom door to check if he was around.

Once you decided the coast was clear, you headed out stealthily, ensuring that you would not run into him on your way back to your office.

You had made it to the twelfth floor when you heard footsteps leaving your office. As the footsteps became louder, a red-clad leg appeared from the doorway.

Shit. You thought to yourself. I have to get out of here.

With that thought, you sprinted in the direction you came from as fast as your legs could carry you, speeding up when you heard a familiar voice shout your name as the matching footsteps ran towards you.

Despite your efforts, you hit a dead end, with only lifts acting as your escape route. You frantically smashed the lift buttons, praying that one would come before he caught up to you.

DING

A lift door opened and you rushed inside, pressing the close doors button as fast as you can. As the doors began to close you looked out of the lift to see him standing there, with a somewhat upset look on his face. Your (E/C) eyes locked with his dark ones for a split second, but this was cut off by the lift doors slamming shut.

You collapsed to the floor in a heap, emotions awry.

"He does remember me... God, what have I done..."
