Ever had that feeling when you hit someone and they turn out to be an amazing and nice person. Yeah, well, shockingly, Justin is pretty funny. Due to Flare and Valerie’s demands, I had to stay behind with them. It’s not that I have a problem with the place or the people. Ok probably the awkwardly gawking people, but the point is I rarely socialize myself in a place like this.
“W-wait” gushed Flare as she composed herself mannerly. “H-he got hit by a b-bus?” she asked her eyebrows scrunched but yet she looked as happy as ever.
“Yep” he nodded as both Flare and I gawked in admiration. Who knew that hearing about a kid not getting to eat his ice cream because he got hit by a bus was surprisingly funny. I slightly chuckled as I glanced a peak at Valerie who was shamelessly flirting with the bartender. I wouldn’t blame her, he’s kind of cute. With his tousled chocolate hair and clear blue eyes, I bet Valerie finds him attractive as ever.
Oh great! Now I’m talking like Valerie and I are close friends.
I sighed deeply. I held my glass of raspberry juice, I mean, ‘The Red Sea’ actually sells raspberry juice. Good for them.
I looked up only to find Justin and Flare staring at me with a glint of concern in their eyes.
Flare placed her hand on mine and looked at me in the eyes. “Everything a ‘right, hun?”
“Actually, no” I replied after a brief moment of silence.
Justin grinned wildly as he relaxed on his chair. “We’re all ears”
I smiled at him. “It’s just that” I said before pausing to look at Valerie who is now unmistakingly making out with the bartender. I furrow my eyebrows at the thought of it but immediately disregarded it and turned to look back at the two. “When will Valerie and I be, you know” I said, as I made a gesture with my hands.
They both had confused faces plastered on as I made my gesturing more detailed. They were still confused and now I was waving my arms like a madman. They seemed to have stopped guessing since they simply smiled at me. Well, Justin was, Flare was laughing. I sighed to show my annoyance at her.
“Sorry darling, how do you expect us to know what you were referring to when you’re just” she paused to think of her words before I turned to look at Justin. He was looking at her in admiration and amazement. It sometimes makes me think that he must be a huge fan of her. Flare was an amazing person, inside and out. Justin probably likes her, I mean, who wouldn’t?
“Waving your hands” said Flare all of a sudden as she snapped her fingers and leaned back on her chair with a smug look.
I gave her a confused look as she simply shrugged at me. I placed my head on the wooden table carelessly as I groaned. I felt someone tap my head, particularly Flare. I groaned as I slapped her hand away.
“Oh sorry, I didn’t know you were able to feel it” I heard her say and with that, I groaned again.
“Sorry okay” she said as I imagined her raising her hands in defeat. I smiled to myself but stopped when she said, “I thought you were hardheaded”
What an amazing friend you are, I thought to myself. I was willing to say it but seeing Flare get mad right now is probably not a good idea.
I heard someone’s heels click at the wooden floor. The sounds grew stronger and stopped when the person dragged a chair and placed it on a table. I presumed it was Valerie since no fan nor an ordinary person would just place themselves next to us.
