Chapter Two

It's funny how Chole is trying to ignore the fact that we're mates. I guess she is hiding it from Alpha John, which is understandable in this situation. She's generally gorgeous, and I am not just saying that cause we are mates. Her hair is dark brown, curly and goes down to her waist, her tanned skin is flawless, her eyes are beautiful, they're sky blue but if you look closer you can notice the silver specks in the blue, pink tinted, kissable full lips and a nice, petite body with curves in all the right places. She also has a few piercings, not the hideous ones, just her nose and ears... wonder if she has more.

"Chole, you are to protect Logan," Alpha John says.

"Protect him? From what?" Chole asks.

"It's up to him if he wants to tell you that," he says, "you are to move in with him in this house in the woods, he is enrolled in your classes at school, you must watch out for each other."

"How is she going to 'protect me'?" I ask Alpha John. Chole growls at me.

"Don't underestimate her Logan, start packing Chole, Logans things are already there... no complaining either," he dismisses us and turns back to his laptop. Chole and I stand to leave, Chole exists first, giving me a great view of her petite ass.

"Stop looking at my ass Logan," she says, not even looking at me. I chuckle as we walk.

"Why can't I look at what is mine?" I say, she turns and looks at me with those sky blue eyes...

"You need to earn all this," she gestures to herself. I smile at her and she returns a smile, showing her perfect white teeth.

"I have to come with you to your house right?" I ask her.

"Yeah, follow me," she says and starts walking to a black Camaro. She grabs her keys from her pocket and unlocks the car.

"This is your car!?" I say surprised. My jaw practically on the floor.

"This... is my baby," she says and laughs at my facial expression. "Close your mouth or you'll catch flies," she laughs at me and slides into the drivers seat and motions for me to get in and I do so. We drive to hers while making conversation, talking about random things, ourselves and she told me about her family. Soon we then pull up in front of a white and green two-story house. Chole gets out of her 'baby' and walks into the house then comes out carrying a suitcase, then an older version of Chole walks out carrying two boxes. Chole and her mother are so similar.

"Cowel! Help me!" a little boy, who I am assuming is Jamie, her little brother she told me about. He is different to Chole and his mother, he has blonde hair, green eyes and a slight tan. He's cute. He is dragging a bag out of the front door. Chole shakes her head amd grabs the bag off of him, putting it in the boot with the other things. Jamie walks to my door, opens it and stares at me.

"You wook affer Cowel! Okay!?" he says, looking me in the eyes.

"Yes sir," I reply with a smile.

"Good," he grins at me then runs off. I chuckle and close my door again as Chole gets into her side.

"Ready?" I ask.

"Yep."

"Well lets go, this is not a situation where you act out the story about the Turtle and the Hare," I say and she starts up the car with a laugh. We start heading east to the thickest part of the woods. We drive down a dirt road for about 15 minutes until we come across a two story modern house. The windows are tinted, it's painted white with dark blue bits around the windows and doors. I've been inside before. it has 3 verandas, 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (2 are connected to the master bedrooms), a kitchen, dining room and a lounge room... also a laundry room. Outside there's two sheds, a pool, spa and a garden. Then there's the attic and the basement - attic is the game room and the basement is the bar. Chole gets out, grabs two of her bags, leaving her boxes and walks up to the house.

"You gonna unlock the door for me or continue to stare at me like I'm a goddess?" Chole says, looking at me waiting. I unlock the door for her and go back to her car to get her two boxes. I follow her intoxicating scent upstairs to the room she picked for herself, which is at the end of the hall, my room is downstairs beneath hers. I walk in amd place the boxes on the laptop desk as she walks out of the bathroom.

"Thanks," she smiles. I plop down on her bed and sigh.

"Are you gonna ignore the fact that I am your mate?" I ask her. I feel the bed dip and I look over at Chole who is looking at me.

"Why would I do that?" she stares into my eyes.

"I don't know, I guess I am scared you'll reject me," I say honestly. 

"Same here," she says and sighs. I touch her arm and sparks shoot through my body.

"You feel that?" I ask and she takes in a shaky breath and nods. I sit up and take her hands in mine and face towards her. Her sky blue eyes meet my dark blue ones.

"I guess we can't run away from fate, and honestly, I don't want to... you can either accept me or reject me," I say with a small smile. "It would really suck if you rejected me, I have been waiting for you for ages now... even before I met you I have been faithful," I babble on.

"Logan... shut up. I am not going to reject you, I have also been waiting for you, my mate. I'd be a dumb bitch if I gave you up!" I say and smile. "But we should take it slow and get to know each other more."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"Okay... OH! Um, can I take you out for dinner?" she nods, "Tomorrow night, 6pm?"

"Can't wait!" Chole says and smiles.
